I'm another who does not follow WNBA but I have been reading about Caitlin Clark.
(Pardon this comment, I do not watch U-tubes).

If it is A against B, or it is B against A, racism is disgusting.
It has gone to physical violence but the authorities and commentators take the Woke-line of silence.

I'm liking the idea of always referring to the subject date as "Independence Day" and am willing to change my habit of calling it "The Fourth Of July", which I've done all my life and my parents also called it "The Fourth Of July" holiday and my grandparents as well. I have a very large family and going back generations we've had a "Fourth Of July" picnic gathering in celebration of our country. We never called the gathering "Independence Day picnic". When any of us would mention getting together to celebrate "The Fourth Of July" there is no question as to the meaning or reverence of that anniversary. My generation and the generations preceding me have no problem getting the gist of "The Fourth Of July" in its proper context. However, with all that said, it's looking like the next generations are losing the "Fourth Of July" connection as their knowledge (or interest in) history seems to be lacking or has been corrupted so referring to it as Independence Day makes the connection more clear. I will endeavor to use "Independence Day" more often. I'm not worried as my family knows "Independence Day" and "The Fourth Of July" in context are one and the same.

The phrase "Capitalism, for all its flaws" is mistaken. Capitalism is the implementation of the right to own what one has created. Producers, those who create, are held to be evil for failing to give away what they have produced. Some people manage to overcome the desire to steal from the producers, but the thought in the mind of many is that the producers are the thieves.

The opposite of capitalism is called "eating the seed corn" in which next year's potential crops are destroyed by this years hungry mouths.

We don't have capitalism, but instead a watered-down version of it. I've not looked at it recently, but it seems that the country of Argentina might be into adoption of capitalism. President Milei has at least begun starving out the eaters if seed corn who've infested his country's government for a very long time.

I haven't seen so much CORN since i drove through Iowa ! :-)

They're all awful. I used to be a dreadful punster, grabbing hold of any overheard phrase in the middle of someone else's conversation and spouting a pun in a highly unwanted interruption.

Eventually I realized it was an illness, not unlike drinking or smoking to the annoyance of others. I stopped.

Result? I'm like that ex-smoker who cannot stand cigarette smoke. You can take your pun and shove it.

Love the article, great job at relaying ignorance to fact (outcome). The same type of article could be written about our representatives in the government, thier rehetoric verus their actions or lack of, and their results. The history books on Trump should be required study for future generations, but we all know that the publishing industry too has all been educated by the colleges of today. What will those books really reflect?

I think I appreciate Trump for being a dooer, he does what he says and what needs to be done. I can pat myself on the back for doing that in my job. My peers used to somehow always tranfer people into my branch when they need firing. I was the only one that fired those that needed it. It eventually resulted in me rmanaging all the branches in our regional area. I had to attend a few legal depositions along the way, but I always won by having good backup documentation (facts).

I agree. Those two are no laughing matter. One is for black supremacy and the other is an absolute idiot. On second thought, they are both absolute idiots.
