Those weren't "contributions". No one ever asked me if I wanted to contribute. They just stole it before I ever saw it. They never let me take an income tax deduction for it either, so they stole it a second time.

I say the same thing. Actually...now what I say has morphed into, "Just give me my money back, no interest, and I'm good..."

Social Security has been broke for a lot of years. I worked for the Actuary who was appointed over SS when Walter Klem retired after 25 years. Think about this, suppose SS had bought each of us an annuity with our contributions...we'd be sooo happy.
