My thoughts with Pitcairns Island is it is big enough.
If Gulchers started buying property there they could take over in about 20 years. Then they could "ask" for independence from New Zealand.

I'm so fascinated with this idea. There are whole websites dedicated to the details of making seasteading work. Blueseed tried to do it with a boat. They failed, but someone will succeed eventually.

I’ve started to investigate the possibility of buying (for scrap price) a former offshore oil rig in international waters, to become a sort of “Rapture” (fictional underwater city from the BioShock series). There are a number of former atolls the Bureau of Land Management wishes to part with as well, some of which were never used for atomic testing and are thus relatively pristine. The idea being to create a haven for banking, tech, medical and research where the capacity of the mind is not limited by frivolous regulation.

I have folks out side of Kallispell and Missoula...they love it. Had a great time in Cody WY last fall. Awesome people met.
