People Are Starting To Talk About COVID Being Used As a Weapon Against Prominent Republicans

This is starting to look like a country I don't want to live in. One of the most disheartening articles I've read in a long time....maybe ever.

Here's one snippet, and look who it's quoting...Lin Wood.

"Lin Wood, a high-profile, no-nonsense attorney who is representing Nick Sandman and Kyle Rittenhouse, tweeted, “Many leaders in administration of @realDonaldTrump are quarantined by what almost appears to almost be targeted strike of Covid-19.” He later tweeted, “There are no coincidences. Zero. None. Hard stop.” Lin Wood is not a conspiracy nut, he’s a prominent attorney who goes after people for libel and slander."

What about you guys?

Thanks for the kid words. I withheld comment until I could offer something practical.

We all can agree on reasonable suspicion that an operative, either for the PRC or the DNC, deliberately infected the White House and at least two Senate offices--and it's hard to feature two key Senators getting infected at the same time with no indication that they were in and out of the White House. To quote the late Ian Fleming: once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, and the third time it's enemy action.

But the best offense at the moment is defense, especially when you "can't prove" enemy action.

Hollywood has provided unending propaganda series over the years supporting infallibility of the FBI.
I reply to all that rubbish with reality: Waco and Ruby Ridge. It's been downhill from those FBI-committed homicides for the FBI in reality for 25+ years.
Now they are an obvious treasonous gang of looters.

Zinc Gluconate is available as a source of Zinc supplement (50mg as you stipulated) on its own, not as a name branded "cold remedy" with a much lower dosage. That is the form I was referring to.
    Example:
    https://www.swansonvitamins.com/now-f...

Zinc supplements of 50mg can cause stomach upset and vomiting if taken on an empty stomach. (Personal experience.)

"Zinc gluconate is the zinc salt of gluconic acid. A study published in the September 2006 issue of "Food Technology and Biotechnology" notes that zinc gluconate is more soluble than other zinc salts and easier on the stomach. Supplements with this type of zinc are easier to absorb and used faster by the body. Research in the "Annals of Internal Medicine" concluded that zinc gluconate is the best form to help boost your immune system and reduce symptoms of the common cold."
Lots of arguably expert opinions on forms of zinc online.

Crazy, isn't it? All my life, FBI people were sacrosanct. Heresy to say a bad thing about them. Comey fixed THAT, didn't he?

Thanks, Temlakos! I have the D and the HCQ (not taking it but it's in the medicine cabinet if I need it) and the Zinc, though the formulation is zinc acetate lozenges and it tastes HORRIBLE and ruins my tongue for at least 30 minutes. Never have been a fan of green tea, though I realize that this is not an exercise in gourmet eating.

I am soon to be (ugh!) 71 and I can't actually remember the last time I got a cold or other corona-type virus. I know I had regular 7-day cold in the past 20 years, but it's been a long, long time. I may have had a one-day cold sometime more recent, but it seems that I can feel it coming on, and then poof! it's gone.

I am seriously one lucky gal.

If someone told me an old dino during the Eighties that some day top FBI officials would attempt a phony accusation for a "Russian collusion" coup to oust a president who would next be impeached because a bug-eyed bullSchiffer made up a parody about a phone call and that socialists would puppet a senile obvious crook for a presidential candidate, me dino would have most likely laughed and asked what he was smoking.
Yeah, hell's bells! NOTHING can surprise me now!
Traitors scoping out targets for a pandemic launched by China is just the next chapter in this stranger than fiction novel!!!

What kills me (pun intended) is how people are treating a cold like the end of the world for anyone who gets it. Good grief. It's a freaking cold. Take some meds if you need to. What a bunch of freaking wimps... Just because you get this doesn't mean you're suddenly incapacitated or a hovering death-cloud of doom. As much fun as it would be for any Republican who had it to simply transmit it via laser eyes to anyone in his/her gaze, its beyond ridiculousness now to listen to the lamestream media. Makes me want to ship them all to North Korea to live for a few years as a peasant.

In fact, zinc gluconate is already available as "Zicam Cold Remedy," and zinc acetate as "Zicam Allery Remedy." One oral zinc gluconate preparation is available: Zicam Rapidmelts, a lozenge you slowly dissolve in the mouth.

But that is intended as a topical application to respiratory mucosa. If that's where the virus lives, well and good.

I cannot represent any of the Zicam preparations as effective against SARS-CoV-2. I know of no one who has tested that. But there it is, for anyone who wants to test it. I suspect that, if you take it as directed, it should be safe--that is, cause no bigger problem than the one you might be dealing with.

Even if not true it does have a nice conspiratorial ring to it. After all, we know deep state operatives and never Trumpers are everywhere, some may have infiltrated the White House for covert purposes! Jack Ryan where are you?

    Excellent, T. 👍
I would add "with food" to Zinc, too.
I have heard that Zinc Gluconate is more shelf-stable and has less side effects than Zinc sulfate.

May I offer the kind of advice I'm sure Dr. Thomas Hendrix would offer, even if his specialty was neurosurgery and not Infectious Diseases:

Vitamin D, 4,000 I.U., by mouth twice a day with meals.

Zinc sulfate, 50 mg by mouth per day.

Apples, at least one per day or maybe twice or three times a day at the end of each meal. (Apples contain quercetin, a known zinc ionophore. Use this if hydroxychloroquine is not available.)

Green tea, at least one serving per day, preferably two or three.

That kind of regimen should defend against this or any other common virus.

By the way: I have a medical degree also.

Actually, me neither, but I just hate the thought that they are likely to get away with it.

    That's attempted MURDER!

Of course quite a few of them were wearing masks. Unfortunately masks don't do anything, unless they were "seeded" with COVID and then stuck right up against their noses and faces, or - alternate theory...someone suggested that perhaps the testing that was done in and around the White House for the SCOTUS candidate intro - which of course has pretty much only Republicans in attendance, would be a great time to introduce contaminated nasal swabs.

I don't know whether that is true or not, but I AM glad people are starting to ask questions. People who have the ability and the standing to be listened to.

Sure is coincidental...it's the only way I can figure the disease showed up at the most opportune moment...who'da thunk?

PS...saw a photo of those in attendance to the intro of the SCOTUS candidate...some of those supposedly infected...Were wearing masks.

Adding one more thing: I understand that now we have two Senators sidelined with the disease, and Mitch McConnell is saying WE ARE GOING TO VOTE on the SC nominee, no matter what (paraphrased). If I were Mitch, I'd be hiring some extra-heavy-duty security for myself and the rest of the Republican Senators.

Also, Kayleigh McEnany has tested positive. Very discouraging.
