"For Kira, her life, and Leo’s, were primary standards of value. The alternative was to cease to exist. They were exceptional because they took ownership of their futures. “Now look at me! I was born and I knew I was alive and I knew what I wanted. Something that knows how to want, isn’t that life itself?”

Regarding the State as the highest standard, she asks Andrei, “Do we want the crippled, creepy, crawling, broken monstrosities that we’re producing? Are we not castrating life in order to perpetuate it?”

In the Red cities of 2020 Democratic party teacher’s unions, their creepy monstrosities march, chant, loot, burn, and kill. These selfless “peaceful protestors” are the State heroes for Victor Dunaev’s “honest toil which profits no one.” No kidding."

Yes, when living for your own sake seems worth little, lack of moral justice, forcing others to sacrifice seems like fun.

I think they demand altruism of others, who accept it because its more challenging than to have an independent mind. I think the extreme altruist was James Taggart. Mouch was the dictator and he knew JT was a fool.

Yes, the ACB trial of the century could have been right out of the texts of Rand.

It seems that altruism is a sociological disorder with similar attributes to the biological disorder known as OCD, and possibly with similar remedies.
