The Real Resistance Begins In Our Minds

"Yet a vicious assault on moral principles (not Puritan, but rational) continues to decivilize America, and it has only accelerated in the last twenty years. The evidence is stark – the New York Time’s 1619 Project in public schools, the anti-concepts “Wokism” and “Whiteness,” Modern Monetary Theory in universities, and the “peaceful protests” of the progressive left’s BLM and Antifa terror wings."

"For those reasons, it is clear that the moral foundations of America must be retrieved from the dust bin of history, for us to shine bright lights on them, and to celebrate the Benevolent Universe they represent. To achieve that modest goal, we are forming a new Facebook study group, and its centerpiece will be America’s Revolutionary Mind by political science professor, C. Bradley Thompson. As he writes in his essay, What Exactly Was the Spirit of ’76?"

"Having made their case against despotism and for freedom, it should be clear why revolution was necessary for the Americans, why they would not compromise. They had to act because of who and what they were, and the moral law they chose to live by."

Thanks, another liberty group recommended it to me about 4 years ago and I set up an account. I think I'll set up this group there too and see if it attracts more engagement because of its more palatable reputation and integrity.

I've recently been introduced to MeWe (https://mewe.com/) which might serve as a good alternative to Facebook.

    MeWe's Privacy Bill of Rights

Permissions & privacy are your rights. You control them.
You control who can access your content.
You can opt out of our member directory to protect your privacy.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

I attended a dinner with the Libertarian Party candidate for president, Jo Jorgensen, in late October. The table conversation turned to freedom of speech and its legal limitations, such the proverbial yelling fire in a crowded theater. This is where Ms. Jorgensen brought up Ayn Rand's interpretation of this being an example of fraud and a violation of individual rights. I then asked if she had read We the Living, and she had, then someone else at the table pulled a new copy of We the Living from his book bag!

I just found a pristine paperback copy of We The
Living in the attic... A serendipity, no doubt, from Ms. Rand...

A good reason for using FB: I suppose it might get an audience that would never see it otherwise.

I just refuse to use it, which sometimes keep me away from things I would otherwise enjoy. Glad you're doing what you're doing, and am following on CFI.

Yes, like Google, its still the dominant site for online publishing engagement. But hell, what do I know. I can easily form the same group elsewhere.

Our American beginnings were in Virginia, of course, and we eventually entered the Revolution once the relatives decided it was their war, but they brought their own Army. Scots only fight with Scots beside them!

Since my earliest relative was born in this country in 1619, I am very interested in this item. Thanks for the Post.
