Engaging a number of people on Facebook about the Rittenhouse trial, it blows my mind how few have the slightest comprehension of the law, or care about facts. Of course the behavior of the prosecution is enough to make you wonder about what the law schools are teaching. I'm waiting for the judge to ask them "How stupid do you think I am?"

So many are obsessed with the outright lies told by the media because it feeds the narrative of violent white supremacists that's been fed to them endlessly. Rarely do I find anyone who's actually watched a minute of the trial.

What shuts everyone up who rants about Rittenhouse's motives for being there is to ask them if a prostitute can be raped, or if a person illegally carrying drugs has the right to defend themselves against an attack by someone trying to steal their drugs. Not that I think I've convinced anyone, but they know that to respond requires them to actually think instead of just react.

I recall 1968 when the Democratic Convention in Chicago had to be covered by the Regular Army of a Company of our military from Ft. Hood, Texas! Those Dems love a good riot.

Law enforcement is supposed to keep protests from getting out of hand, not take sides in the protest. I have been to protests in three US cities where I've lived, and I've always been impressed with local police's abilities to keep protestors and counter protestors apart.
It's obvious that this case attracts people who think, contrary to the facts, that Rittenhouse is white supremist or a hero. And any demonstration can bring out people looking to fight or loot. So it makes sense to have a lot of law enforcement ready.

During the "tear down bronze statues hysteria" the idiots in my town tried to tear down Frederick Douglas because they didn't know who the statue was they were defacing.

My heart goes out to great men and women like Thomas Sowell and Winsome Sears for being overshadowed by the left wing imbeciles.

They knew who and what Flyod was, but he fit the narrative. Now he's canonized, his family marketed his death for profit...no one cares to change the story as its serving them/ their cause too well.

Thanks. I think they are jumping the issue. But in a country that puts up a statue to someone like George Floyd what can you expect. They should have first done a bit more research on Mr. Floyd. He was certainly no angel. And he sure has gained a lot of family since he died. Too bad they weren't around when he was growing up.

Could you clarify this Post a bit. Why is the NG being deployed...which side are they on? This is simply a statement. The NG is often deployed in Texas but we usually know why.
