She did. She left the news publicly stating the lack of truth in journalism, spoke about it ad nauseam on facebook and still presents the same message she did two years ago. Political experience does not equate to reason or common sense as evidenced by our crop of s***bags in the r&d ballroom. I have no issue with someone with a sharp mind and character stepping into governorship and holding the miscreants accountable. Jan Brewer surprised me endorsing her opponent. Her opponent had no interest in politics until asked (I assume promises and assurances were made if she touts the RINO line), and she has nothing but business experience.
I can't agree with you. Giving her the opportunity will prove her mettle and I'm all for it. We can vote her out if she doesn't deliver.
From my perspective, KL has no experience besides being a TV Anchor. Even at that, I was never impressed with her. Her complaint about fake news and/or how the News was being reported she could have verbalized her thoughts on it.
I'd give her a shot in her state. Should I be disappointed by a sneaky RINO, it wouldn't be the first time. Besides being louder than words, action more fully reveals content of character.
I know there are far too many soro's operatives in government and a boatload more protecting their perverse interests. I've encountered them at rally's in AZ and DC
I personally encountered the attempt to stop me from voting by the state prior to the election and then had my vote ignored because they provided a marker that bled through the ballot invalidating it.
For the record, since the word gullibility keeps coming to mind (and I don't appreciate the down vote in gulch discourse), epstein didn't kill himself. Hunter biden is a degenerate and a massive fool. Papa b took bribes. And b did abandon hundreds of american is Afghanistan while providing the enemy with billions in superior armament.
So you think there is no independent judge? No one can get a fair hearing in any court?
Even with a Supreme Court dominated by conservatives?
Please, conspiracy theories are tiresome.
If there was that evidence, why didn't the Trump lawsuits even get forward? If you think the courts are all biased, then you are just crying for a new dictatorship.
You are in denial. There is ample proof of fraud in Arizona and many states, enough to prove the election was stolen. Quantifiable numbers that don't match, procedures that were not followed, chains of custody that were ignored, and cyber trails of external access to system that we're supposed to be isolated and self contained. I'm not pro-trump or anyone. But seeing the blatant fraud and getting pissed enough to call it by name is not anti-reason. Truth is not anti-reason it's reality.Frankly, I hope all of them hang because they violated and manipulated a sacred public trust that was the bedrock of this society. if those to be hung include Trump, then he, as they all would, gets what he deserves,
I'm sorry, but pandering to Trump's lies about the 'stolen" election is downright anti-reason.
The Trump campaign filed a great number of lawsuits, but could not find nor show any credible evidence of a fraud. There was none, as far as any of us can tell.
But when candidates repeat that canard, they are undermining the decent, reasonable discourse that we must have in our country. When both sides scream that the election was "stolen" every time they lose, we are turning into Kenya, not a beacon of individual rights and democracy.
The myth of an individual society without government and everyone maintaining order via self discipline is commendable but still a hopelessly out of reach fallacy with a population of any real size.
Thanks to technology there is no place to run and hide (Shrug). No place to "take my ball" and go home, particularly now with the manic fear of covid its boosters, and its requirements for travel.
No one commented or up-voted my statement by John Adams because of the buzz words "religious" and "moral" even though I explained his intention. Even so, Adams was stating what the Constitution required of its people for it to be effective: self governance limiting conduct in pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.
I am a constitutional conservative, a laughable statement these days, but none-the-less conserving (keeping, retaining, holding fast to) the tenants of our founding father in a SOCIETY is exactly what everyone should be seeking today. Not more laws. Not ignoring evil to avoid making waves. The country needs people of character and conviction adhering to their personal creed to guide their behavior so society doesn't have to force them to behave with laws. And now, today, the near total absence of creed and conviction, secular or otherwise, has decimated this country top to bottom like a cancer.
Adams was spot on. I believe had Rand herself read that quote she may have noted the words used but understood the importance of why he chose them.
Objectively there is good and evil. Those who endorsed Lake's opponent spoke volumes to who Lake is. Since "who knows what evil lurks in the heart of men" is more real than a comic line, we can only go off what people show. I've been following Lake for many many years. I've spoken to her via facebook when I was there. My hope is that she's as sincere as I've taken her to be. Pointing a spotlight on the depravity of our government, our news agencies, and our immigration issue is commendable for no other reason that it was done with high visibility.
One might say that an objectivist would provide reasons and make a case rather than just blabber about someone supposedly sounding like a fascist and any sort of “approach to knowledge” based on a short advert.
And of course an objective person who actually knows what fascism is would not call this add fascist s it reflects nothing specific to actual fascism. Statist, perhaps. But not fascism, given that fascism is a rather specific form of socialism and nothing in here is even reminiscent of that unless you squint really hard at the schools being about education instead of indoctrination part.
?? You say she is fascist and anti reason but where is your evidence?
Seems she is more about truth and enforcing the law..
As far as cheer leading for Ms Lake, who here does not want an end to corruption? Of course I favor any candidate who acknowledges the corruption problem and wants to act to stop it. Can she do it? that remains to be seen.
I respect your dedication to both: reason begetting liberty. The challenging thing is, that the Collectivist Fascists are moving at "light speed" away from individualism. "Conservatives" provide their own brand of 'anti-reason" and emotionalism. We need a Constitution-bound individual that explains the strength of the Bill of Rights, continuously. The situations illuminated by Kari Lake must be corrected NOW, though. Once we seal the blood flow, we can finesse the foundations. Privatization of Education, Reason for and discipline of the US Armed Forces. the reintroduction of the "unalienable right of a free individual", proper consideration of property rights. Let's stop the bleeding then rehab the being. But I understand your stance.
So, you prefer a collectivist mindset then? Sometimes you take the lesser of two evils. I’m for whomever allows me to make my own decisions. Then even if their reasoning is flawed at least mine need not be.
It's kind of funny. Where I live (Phoenix area) there are forests of campaign signs on every street corner. Usually there are two about Lake. One says she's endorsed by Trump; the other says she donated to Obama. The latter may be intended as an attack, I'm not sure.
I watched her on the local news for years. When she left she cited fake media and those she's known for years, co-workers she respected as journalists, going with the false narrative and even misrepresenting the truth via distortion or omission.
She has my respect. Still, its a 'show me' time in history. I hope she's sincere.

My 4 bits (got kind long for just 2 bits)

You don't have to think one candidate is good because the other is bad. Maybe both are good or maybe both are bad.
