It's a little late at this point for those who haven't, but as someone who a.) does not trust Facebrag any more than he can spit and b.) absolutely, comprehensively despises that little iBinky-wannabe "messenger" "app" that sits down in the lower-right corner...

From the first news reports that indicated that FB was a massive security-sieve, and later that its employee base was basically an arch-Leftwing religious coven, I got into the habit of assuming that every single word I wrote in their "messenger" thing was being read by one or more vestigial-Leftwing dweebs at FB.

I really do not care whether said dweebs read my rants against neo-collectivism, so no need to squelch anything on that issue. But if you're fool enough to divulge security-sensitive information, not only in the "messenger" postage-stamp but anywhere on FB, you're stepping into Darwin Awards contention.

I think it's hard to judge if it was justified.
It was certainly brutal.

But I no longer trust ANYTHING from the history books.

The why is kind of obvious.
Nature favors chaos.

We have just lived through a Human Singularity that will NEVER be repeated.
We went from totally disconnected, without Electricity, etc. To satellites, and
cheap goods from anywhere in the world. It is now falling apart due to corruption.

Europe is older, it's corruption is much deeper. But the USA, not to be outdone, has
cranked up a corruption machine never seen before. Everything from Big Pharma, to
the foods you are told are good for you, has been "influenced/nudged" by Big $$$.
Our history has been rewritten and mostly hidden from us. Valuable lessons are not
taught.

So, you have Money and Power. These are NOT bad things. It is what people will do in the pursuit of them that makes them seem bad. But it is the actions of those people.

The money saw that the government has power. The only way to get access to that power, is to offer the "actors" in government what they want... (that they don't have)... Money! So, they go to Congress, and become WILDLY rich.

As it evolved, those making others rich, demand their pound of flesh. From the Politicians perspective. I give you $1 Billion in tax benefits/yr, and I get $1 Million/yr... And it's not my $1 Billion. Wash, Rinse, Repeat. Soon you have K-Street, and lobbyists of all kinds.

Where you find the STRONGEST Lobbying groups, you find the worst laws/decisions.
See Pfizer/FDA for tons of examples. Curing Glioblastoma? You will be RAIDED by the FDA and punished. (See Dr. Burzinski).

Then, it's only natural to PROGRESS... Now, you must shape the minds of the DOCTORS to buy into this. (Destroy the reputation of ANY other doctors, but your own (check), and then pay the schools to teach from your books. And let JUNK FOOD Companies like Kellogg fund the research on Nutrition for 20yrs TRYING to make eggs look unhealthy, so their crap products are pushed). Finally, payoff people to IGNORE SUGAR/SMOKING as roles in heart disease/deaths... And blame FATS (Check).

Individual Companies leveraging whatever advantages they could PURCHASE. (If you made $5 Billion/yr selling crap foods that you KNEW destroyed the health and vitality of those consuming it... Are you willing to spending $500 Million greasing skids to make sure you are never gone after, and are instead made out to be the hero. Oh, and you get the government to PUBLISH your recommendations as FACT, and any one else has to ACTUALLY provide scientific studies (you NEVER did), to refute your position, which is really the government position that you PAID FOR...

Why? Money and Power. Nobody should have both (unless they earned them, on their own, without being in government, or tied to it). But they attract each other!
Those with Money (Gates, Soros) Seek Power. Those with Power (Elected Officials) seek Money. (As do most people, but usually only within the realm of EARNING it, not stealing it or getting it by selling "Pull" to the Rich).

That's a great analysis of our plight. I wish you weren't so spot on and we could live like the country I was raised in. There isn't really a need for all this control and unhappiness (IMO). It's all fueled by the basic concept of less for you means more for me (0 sum), and the masses are noncapable of appreciating it in the way "we elites" do. IT's the mindset of some of the rich who horde things like art, because we are all to dense to appreciate it.
Case in point; Obama, what does he do after he takes his turn looting the country? Buys 30 acres in one of the most exclusive places in the country where he no longer has to deal with the riff raff that he played on the emotions of to gain power.

Does anyone know if they even teach about carpetbaggers and scalawags anymore? I took history in Alabama, in the 60's, and the teacher had nothing good to say about them. I'm guessing if they are taught at all, they are presented as heroes. Another example of "upside-down world".

My wife thought I was paranoid for covering the camera on my laptop computer (I use a sticky-note). Then one evening we were visiting the house of a friend in the FBI (who has since quit!) and all his laptops, I-pads, etc had the cameras covered!

Both parties are the enemy of freedom because their goals are power and wealth for themselves without regard to the rights of the People.
Neither party deserves any support from free people.

4) Leverage Fear (Wars, Others, Disease) (Check, Check, Check)

I was always amazed at the Subtle way in which language can be used to manipulate.

How do you make someone happy when they own nothing. You make owning things PAINFUL. Typically through taxation.

Then, just change the definition of "Happy". And everyone (except the rich & powerful) will "Own Nothing and Be Happy!"

I have made a point of never having a Facebook nor Twitter account. When Obama was in, I used his "what do you think" to email him, nots giving a rat's you know what how he responded. I knw Clingotn spied on phone calls via Eschelon. So, I expect that you say, is heard, via TV, or if you so set it, your thermostat. If we are warriors, we have to know what is going on. We can only hope someone is spying on them, or knows what they did in the past. We just need to avoid those who, like the Germans, ratted out heir as they do on Facebook. I usually give source for any data I present unless it is opion, which is stated as such.
