I find it interesting that people who read "Atlas Shrugged" and don't like it, always say they have scars from the endeavor. I suppose scars are better than the brain melting feelings I experience when I read anything altruistic in intention.

  It's a way of social posturing to say you have scars from reading it. It insinuates you felt attacked by the book and are thus compassionate and a good person.
