Man thinks he can rule over Nature.

It's not nice to try to Fool Mother Nature.

Awesome, rainman0720 as that is the very first thing that popped into my mind! I'm sure John Kerry and other jet setting elites are quite relieved their personal carbon footprints aren't the cause of global warming after all! Of course, I suspect "they" never believed their own culpability when they can blame all of us - and tell us what we need to sacrifice.

The question would be whether the effect on "everything else" was beneficial or detrimental. Small scale trials, increasing in scope until the desired effect is obtained, (if ever) would be a logical way to try this approach.

Right! We'll block some and concentrate other light. Anything as long we the government gets control and power

Want a good laugh? All the Canadian Wild Fires have erased about 10 years of so-called “Carbon mitigation efforts”.
    Have a nice day!

Goal: To make the earth uninhabitable for humans and other Terran lifeforms,
and habitable for non-humans, without mass driver bombardment and
    destruction.

Oh, but we made no error, we just didn't do it enough to reduce the climate changes.
More funding, now, for the War on Climate! [/s]

... and previous administrations for 20+ years.
(Since practically no one in the Trump administration did what Trump wanted.)

I agree ... the Climate Change Crisis was never about science, it was always about the further establishment of political power.

As many have said, this proves it’s all a sham and I’m going to broadcast it!

Interesting. I speculated in 2012, in my book Shadows Live Under Seashells, that mankind would terraform Mars.Part of that equation was to redirect the suns energy to Mars using orbital mirrors placed near and around Mars directing the suns energy to the planet surface, adding warmth to facilitate plant growth and add additional power.

I recall reading China intends a manned visit Mars in 2033.

What if this proposal to redirect the suns energy is part of the groundwork to provide energy to the chinese explorers while warming the red planet a bit in preparation for eventual transformation? This redirecting has to send that energy somewhere, no? b-merica is china's bitch, no?

Redirecting the suns energy is not the only thing needed to terrform Mars but it is something that would need to be addressed if teraforming were ever to be attempted.

If only... If only the so-called scientists would get their science straight. If only the mediass would get actual facts out to their readership. If only people weren't so wrapped up in Orange Man Bad and conservatives are terrorists that they would actually search for real information instead of sucking pablum kool-aid. In other words, wake up you insane mob out there and realize just how much you don't know or willfully ignore. The results of implementing this travesty of "science" cannot possibly be good for us, and could very possibly cause the destruction that all of the climate change thunbergs are screaming about.

Should devalue solar panels, but he'll set up a subsidy to cover the losses of those discriminated against in that case...

How long before we revert back to human sacrifice, if it hasn't already begun?

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you have two regions where the temperatures differ, doesn't that generate wind that attempts to neutralize the differences? In other words, they're setting things up to create artificial tornadoes and hurricanes here and their scientific "advisors" think this is a good idea?

    They are MORONS!

You can't cool one section without affecting everything else. It's impossible according to the laws of thermodynamics.

Wait! So that big yellow thing in the sky is what drives our climate, and not a trace gas in the atmosphere?
    Who would gave guessed?

So how does this work with all the solar panels they expect to make free electricity from the sun?
Around my part here in the NE states all they have to do is keep the wildfires up in Canada burning.

Maybe I'm missing something, but doesn't this shoot to Hell all of their previous arguments by admitting that the sun is responsible for temperatures on earth? Didn't this idiot just admit that their entire "let's kill everything that produces CO2" argument is 100% hyprocritcal?

I've seen previous articles about this being studied in other countries (South America?). I think it's worth a look, since "greenhouse gas reduction" is going nowhere as long as China keeps building coal plants. Also, this could be a targeted approach. Cool western Canada to slow wildfires? Cool Phoenix and west Texas?

Seems kind of counter productive considering all the money being invested into solar. But par for the course considering THIS administration.
