We saved our waxed paper that our sandwiches were wrapped in (no Ziploc bags back then) and sat on it to wax the slide and go faster. Also helped remove rust if it had rained the day before.

A fine meme salad this week, OUC! Loved 'em all! Oooooh the hot slide brings back a lot of memories. The slide, as pictured, in the playground near where I lived was used so much there was a depression in the ground at the exit that filled with water when it rained and it was a challenge to keep the sneakers clean and dry so mom wouldn't get upset, LOL!
