    Exactly what I was thinking. I have a hard time believing in coincidences. Why are these "found" now? There is more to this story.

    It's hard to be corrupt when you are totally incompetent. Then again, scandal after scandal after scandal can't be about being a success at sneaky.

    They should all be posted on line. Let the public sort them out for free and see if there is anything in them referencing the targeting of specific groups.

    Could be that it's taken this long to "find" them so that they could eliminate all the incriminating evidence. Time will tell.

    Woodlema- perfectly stated. Of course they were retrievable. You don't have to be computer savvy to know this and of course the IRS would have multiple backup systems...
    Maybe if they had blamed it on the Chinese hacking into their systems,etc... it would have been more believable!

    I'm not the smartest guy in America but I'm not one of the stupid ones Dr. Gruber was talking about. However, who's going to believe the emails haven't been sanitized or recreated. They certainly had the time to do so. In American politics the real scandal is when the cover up is discovered.

    Most of the scandals have less to do with politics and more to do with the administration's complete and total INCOMPETENCE. Be careful what you wish (vote) for!

    Took five months to make sure ones to Obama, or referencing him were removed. These are just going to further indite Lerner or some other SES/GS-flunkies.
