oh! . if the geeks united, they could bring this world
to its knees in hours. . we have our eggs in one
basket, the web, and they could render us all to the
world of "want to work offline?" in a relative heartbeat. -- j

I am so distraught that N Korea could have internet problems. So distraught !! The bastards deserve it, and it might be that the chinese did it on their own to send a message to N Korea not to embarrass it. China is too big and has too much at stake to play stupid games with Sony pictures. N Korea thought they had nothing to lose, but perhaps they should rethink that. Obama should SHUT up, however, and take whatever action he wants quietly.

I would guess that 97% of North Koreans don't have computers and couldn't care less. When you go hungry, the first thing on your mind is not the Internet. However, It did most likely piss off the elites, which is a good thing.

What a kick, but I could have commented it better than you because anything you can do I can do better.

. What if the geeks actually united? Would our government be forced to come to North Koreas defense? After all President Obama erroneously blamed amateur anti-Islam film for deadly attack on an American consulate in Libya on September 11, 2012. Then imprisoned the guy and ordered Youtube to take it down, Then they forced Ambassador Susan Rice to blame the video that at that point had very minimal views. So all this leads me to wonder if Obama really did have any evidence that North Korea did the Sony hacking. He might have been baited into accusing them.

Thanks for reminding me of the historic public distractions....been doing research over the last 100 years. I'll put this into the developing model.

It didn't last as its back up. Some "damage" that did. Barry is soft on response.

So here's a thought: it could be China. All NK's Internet is routed through China. This could be China's way of slapping NK back in line because it is too early for them to be issuing threats.

This is why you have redundancy in your critical systems...

It's who we've become as a country under this administration. We always done it, but these guys have elevated crisis manipulation to an art form.

I abhor passive-agressives.....or should I say covert-aggressives? If this is the case...spineless, manipulative bastards.

If it's NSA, which I believe, then a false flag shows the need for their capabilities during a time when they a facing a lot of public scrutiny. With that will come funding and positive press....most importantly funding. It also provides distraction for the administration for everything else going on....economy, immigration, Cuba, Russia, race relations, Expensive Presidential Vacations. Watch the left hand, and forget about what the right is doing.

Sony could be complicite too....all sorts of motive there.

"They" didn't hack Sony. "They" couldn't find their third-world ass with both hands.

Unfortunately for them, they will be the patsy. Every good conspiracy needs one.

I would think, considering the conditions in N. Korea, that an Internet blackout would impact no more than a few thousand people, those in the party connected to the military and government.

I'm not referring to "Stupid". My reference is to all the "perturbed" hackers in the US. Who do you think is flooding the NK system? The "flood" is coming from the free, private sector. Hackers have big egos to assuage here. The "Game" is afoot! "Let slip the dogs..."
