Obamacare has been a mess for us living in a rural area. The Congressperson for this area is a Democrat and got re-elected. So, we're screwed. We don't make enough money and in the wrong age bracket (8 months till 65) to get onto a plan. The closest Doctors and Hospital are an hour away.

We're in very serious trouble in our country. With Hillery in the wings I can see nothing but a continuing downhill run. Obamacare is nothing but a transfer of money from those of us that worked and earned it to those that didn't do much of anything but sit around with their hands out. The fact that so many companies have moved to other countries to avoid the taxes and regulations in the U S ties in nicely with the theme of Atlas Shrugged. Ditto the oil platforms that moved out of the gulf to avoid Obama and his extortion and are now off the coast of Brazil and Africa probably never to come back. Sounds all too familiar.

Also one of the ever popular unintended consequences with the 14th amendment which was put in place to insure that previous slaves were given citizenship. Now our glorious politicians use it as an excuse to allow anchor babies to be citizens thereby allowing their illegal alien parents to stay in our country costing tax payers around $50,000/year each, and allowing them the right to vote which they had not earned. But job number one is to stay in office, not to serve the citizenship.

Nostradamus had nothing on Ayn Rand. I make it a point to read AS every 5 years and encourage my kids and friends to do the same. The older I get, the more prescient she seems. The last 20 years almost seem scripted. Unfortunately, I have no idea where Galt's Gulch might be.

They made a big mistake with the CROmnibus and re-electing Boehner as Speaker, and they are beginning to find out! Even Mia Love, a new Congresswoman, voted for him! What??? They had better start listening -- or they are done.

I also read AS earlier in life. But was not that enthralled. Back then I put it alongside of "The Old Man in the Sea" which was boring. Remembering AS after doing my research on Obummer It now made so much sense and it is the direction the US is traveling.

The sad thing is that it is not just THIS administration. We have only had a very brief slowing of the progressive/liberal agenda during Reagan's time. There has been no real pause since at least 1960. (I was born during WWII so I'm too young to remember much about Ike or Truman.)

Funny when I read AS and others such as Come Nineva Come Type in high school I would never have believed that this country could become what it has., But I was just a 50's cub and boy scout, civil patrol and believed the BS that the government has shoveled into the history books and out of the mouths of far too many politicians. We also recited the Lords Prayer and the Pledge every school morning and at every scouting meeting. Such was it like as children of and members of the greatest generation.

With the blacks, Mexicans and liberal droolers voting for Barry, there's little chance that we can stop people like him.
