I would not be surprised at all. Obama has repeatedly demonstrated a complete disregard for the rule of law. All it would take is a 9/11 type crisis and the need to 'maintain the status quo' and the government could choose to 'suspend elections' for the continuity of government. All in the name of safety and security of course...

I seriously doubt that there's a third term in the cards. He wants to be gone when the house of cards that we call our economy implodes, and he knows better than anyone that he's already in a race to the finish line. He wants to be the elder statesman when that happens, so that he can pontificate, "nothing like this could have happened when I was in charge!". Presumably it will hit the skids during Hillary's first term. I can hardly wait until she says, "We inherited this train wreck from the previous administration" and see his reaction...it should be epic. Considering how many Democrats' skulls he used to prop up his throne, he won't get much cover from that quarter either.
