I usually can see some thought pattern when someone says something stupid like this but I'm at a loss. I received Ideal the other day and hope to read it soon. Doubt it will make a difference.

Yes, but no real detail, and she's a DB not worth a serious effort. Besides I never met a lib who really understood Capital Theory so there's no prayer of her understanding Rand. Hell, even Dr. Jack Lew couldn't explain Gault's Valley when interviewed when Atlas II came out. O'Reilly busted him up hard over that.

I found this clip at http://mediamatters.org/research/2010... and it appeared that, in THAT clip, Heller was quite complimentary toward Rand and critical of Obama.

Personally, I believe that Obama really believes that there should be Limits On Wealth, though his acolytes will deny that to their last breath. The subtext is rarely sub.

And Lordy, did Anne need a better hair style! :)

This is what all the fuss is about. Heller's review of the recent publication od Rand's "Ideal".

I think the MRC intentionally overstated Time's responsibility for actively "sliming" Ayn Rand. They all wish to sell, of course. Time more copy and Heller more of her book on AR. What's new?

I ordered a copy of Ideal and will try to review here the Heller's review of that book.

Without looking further is it the LA Times or the NY Times? Why would I bother reading five pounds of ads with one pound of propaganda? Nothing of value as the name across the tops clearly indicates. What else would one expect? Sorry Comrade Editor I don't serve the party.

Did you watch the clip from the interview on Fox News where she was asked about Obama's "I think you have enough money" statement (Which I find quite chilling by the way)?

It was a somewhat pleasant surprise to me, as it was unexpected, given what we've been discussing here. I'm not sure that she has any depth of understanding of the subject, but at least she seemed open and sympathetic.

I meant that it relates documented factual anecdotes not found in any other writing purporting to recount Rand's life.

You speak of similarities we were not supposed to see coming but did and still do.
I can just hear the hushed voices: "Oh, the pesky Ayn Rand! Why doesn't she stay dead? We must find ways to marginalize her!".

Very true, more particularly since the similarities seem to be coming to pass at an ever increasing rate.

And science fiction at that which can be used to test whether someone has read the book or is just pontificating on the backs of reviewers' efforts.

Does anyone have the text from Time in context? Clearly Anne Heller was condemning Rand, but we have no idea what Time said about that without context. We just know Time printed Heller's words.

Yes it is possible, unfortunately...liberals refuse to accept the authority of the author in context and word usage (connotation) so they make it up as they go...the same way they try to rule. Pelocy is a good example of this trait.

I'm referring to the characters that are mentioned in the article. As I understand it, the works being discussed are from previously unreleased works. I've taken the characters from the text of the article; I've never seen or read the works themselves.

Liberal speak makes no sense at all! Never did and never will. Since your among the first to receive 'Ideal' Please let us know if there is even remotely, any credibility to this reaction... richrobinson [ed,sp]

    Hello Salty,

Would you, please, point me to the character and the thoughts you mentioned?

    Thank you kindly.
