We dealt with by phasing out CFCs. It was a successful campaign and the ozone hole pretty much healed. Methane has nothing to do with ozone depletion.

The % of green house gas from human CO2 production is actually much smaller than you state. But he point is well taken. The predictions of the GW models grossly overshot actual average temperatures in the last decade. Obviously the models are seriously flawed. None to my knowledge account well for the natural fluctuations in average global temperatures.
People have been stampeded into a mass hysteria on purpose. Scientists are threatened with loss of reputation, of tenure, of grants if they speak against AGW.

Better late than never. 1) Ice Ages; 2) Global Warming (aka-Climate Changes); 3) Missle Gap-Yah; 4) Population Bomb-Oh, those pesky humans; 5) I heard some report of the current cooling may cause an ice age-LOL: 6) Global cooling is caused by global warming-How can you argue with that w/o shooting yourself?; and, 7) The goverment spying on you- Wait, that's true.

I drag race and zoomed in on the 1/4 mile track to see the weather and judge if I should go. I could see a snap shot of two cars racing. If we can do that; what can THEY do?

I agree but it's almost next to impossible enlighten people who want to believe the this BS. I'm well educated and am somewhat in the field. After telling them this, I ask why they believe in GW and they say because they read it or saw it on TV. Then when I try to convince them otherwise, they sometimes respond you must watch Fox News. t's exasperating!!!!!

If anyone is interested I will post my Dad's research on GW. I asked him a few years ago to write a paper on the subject in response to Senator Levin's (D - for dummy) position that GW is a settled science. Right. The referenced paper supports all those who know that GW is hogwash. Dad is a nuclear physicist with a PhD and two Master's degrees and way smarter than me.

Whether there truly is an environmental concern in lots of cases has become secondary too often to the agenda of the collectivists who gravitate to the regulatory agencies. What I mean is, environmental concerns are used as a pretext for government to take property rights to itself. This is the goal of collectivists who want the government to control the economy, and what more subtle way to do that than to regulate for the sake of the "Environment". Even the word "Environment" in their language is a pronoun name, not a regular noun anymore. Such changes in vocabulary allow the mindset to shift from protection of resources, to the demonization of those who seek to utilize resources shifting perception of them from being good producers to being evil antagonists of this innocent being the "Environment" whom they are assaulting with their Corporate Greed. Beware of bodies (Agencies, societies, councils etc) who's sole purpose is to "protect" something other than a citizen's rights. When such groups form, they never solve a problem that puts them out of a job, which is ultimately what such groups should do. Instead they gain power through the perpetration of the belief that the problem is greater than it is somehow to gain power and extend their existence beyond it's useful purpose.

What did happen to the ozone hole? I've always wondered why if cow farts are ruining the ozone how come dino farts didn't? I also wonder why we don't grow more stromatolites to suck up the CO2 & make more O2. Maybe another business opportunity there.

I'm an environment engineer. I signed the "Concern Scientist" petition some years ago (circa 2003) that listed 32,000 scientist. While I'm not strictly speaking a scientist but, as I was told, I'm from an educational background that's grounded in scientific thought. Anyway, I think for myself.

My point exactly. There are cycles. Always have been, always will be. The dinos had more oxygen. I'm sure their farts were far more powerful than a modern cow. There have been major extinctions too, and man wasn't around to cause them.
