At least he truly understands the system and appears to be sick of it. Of course, he uses the system - who doesn't, based on their ability to use it and get away with it. But he is rich enough that he doesn't need extra $50K for a speech, or a free "vacation." He's not perfect, but better than the establishment. And he's not a religious zealot.

I do agree with overman...so what if he says I. I am reminded of the short story that to me even more closely reminds me of the Democrats, the GOP and Trump. One of Ayn Rands lesser known works. "Anthem" Trump reminds me of the hero who discovers "I" and is not afraid to use it either.

I am dismayed even here in the Gulch, some of the comments about Trump because of his "ME and I" attitude. Too many confuse exceptional confidence, with unwarranted arrogance.

He needs to tell us (a) how he came to change his mind from some of the positions he once held, and (b) how he plans to achieve certain ends he has promised.

He also needs to start talking like a winner.

I never said Trump would win, but I did say he would make it interesting. He is a showman and it is causing the establishment to quake in their boots. I think it is awesome and maybe it will wake the American voting public into awareness of what Dirty City or the District of Corruption is doing to our great country.

I don't think so. That worry provided by the talking heads is the system protecting itself. I think Trump is that crony capitalist who wants to sink the ship as a last act in his life. Maybe he watched the atlas films and discovered himself. I read the Art of the Deal years ago and I think that is who Donald Trump is.

I can understand your apprehension. But I love what's he's doing in the political arena. It needs to be crushed, and that is happening.

I don't think Roark would have contributed to politicians with the intent of calling in favors when he needed them. Trump has also proudly proclaimed that he used the bankruptcy laws to his advantage which I think is anti-Roark as well. He has tapped in to an anti government sentiment and I hope all the candidates pick up on it. Business as usual has to be stopped.
