Only something man made can be patented. Wouldn't exist, but for the fact man created it. Identifying certain traits, procedures for insemination, etc. I have posted in here before about the Monsanto/farmer/seed trials.
The EU proposal is over-reach. But that over-reach has been going on for years. This just adds to the pile.

According to certain questionable articles, Monsanto has attempted to patent sunlight.

It's pure insanity and another bureauracy that believes they're God.

That's happening here too. Not to mention raw milk. You can't make cheese with pasteurized milk. Raw milk has gone underground.
