    If it had been my ideas, i probably would have ditched the preamble to the 2nd amendment, I would have ditched slavery and outlawed it entirely. But then, in that case, NO, it would not have been founded. Because the southern states would not have agreed to the outlawing of slavery.

      Nor would much of the north it was after all the north that was using indentured servants in much the same way and demanded the 3/5ths rule.

      They also gave us the way to effect change. Amendment. Not shyster trickery nor dictatorial edicts. We ought to try that sometime.

      Why not write up your proposed amendment for immigration for consideration?

      I would favor inserting those born of one or more US parent out of the country who have taken out a Certificate of Citizenship should be allowed to run for President. And changing the census requirement from people to citizens and visitors for apportionment purposes. I might also think about immigrants and refugees as two separate issues to address.

    I looked at the 2007 Time Alamanac. To have the buying power of a 1900 dollar in 2006 would require $20.00 Most of that occured in the last two decades.

    If you think of the DOHS not as a way to protect society but act as a protective echelon for the government (thanks to Mom! i enjoyed that part!) and apply it to the principles of the cycle of repression including comments by the President on making it as or more powerful than the military then the TSA etc. etc etc. purpose to exist is getting public used to a different , far different life style.

    You mean the freedom of association that is one of the favorite targets for the race and/or gender cards?

    E.G. The masters tournament (gender for the tournament, both for the country club)
