Crimea crisis: Fears of war grow as Ukrainian officer is killed at military base in Simferopol

All of this was going to happen no matter what Obama said or did. The question now is how far Putin pushes into Ukraine. I think if we would stay out of it he may stop. The more we demand he stops the more likely it is he will push further north of Crimea.

- 3Posted by $ rockymountainpirate 11 years, 1 month agoA question I keep asking in all of this is that it appears that the citizens of Crimea voted to join Russia, aka self determination. Our administration apparently only honors self determination if the vote is to become an islamic theocracy. So does this country (read administration) support self determination or not?Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|

- 2Posted by ObjectiveAnalyst 11 years, 1 month agoWhy aren't we selling our surplus, often obsolete arms to nations that need deterrent? We are sending MREs... really? It is too little too late. The election results are statistically impossible. Although Kim Jong-un might disagree...Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
- 3Posted by Zenphamy 11 years, 1 month agoIn the spirit of the UN's Small Arms Treaty (which we conceived and wrote) we're destroying those arms. It's even gotten to the point that we now collect all the old brass at Army ranges and shred them rather than sell them to citizen re-loaders.Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink|

- 3Posted by Zenphamy 11 years, 1 month agoThink of all the money we've spent on all those arms. Reminds me of driving into San Fran from the north years ago and seeing all those rusting ships at anchor in the bay.Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink|
