Think of all the money we've spent on all those arms. Reminds me of driving into San Fran from the north years ago and seeing all those rusting ships at anchor in the bay.

Isn't that pathetic... We should keep our boots off their ground but not our armaments. We could profit while helping people secure freedom.. but nooo... guns bad... tyrants meh...

In the spirit of the UN's Small Arms Treaty (which we conceived and wrote) we're destroying those arms. It's even gotten to the point that we now collect all the old brass at Army ranges and shred them rather than sell them to citizen re-loaders.

Why aren't we selling our surplus, often obsolete arms to nations that need deterrent? We are sending MREs... really? It is too little too late. The election results are statistically impossible. Although Kim Jong-un might disagree...

At last report the Ukrainians have given up the Crimea. They are withdrawing their forces. They are not willing to risk losing their Fort Sumter in battle.

A question I keep asking in all of this is that it appears that the citizens of Crimea voted to join Russia, aka self determination. Our administration apparently only honors self determination if the vote is to become an islamic theocracy. So does this country (read administration) support self determination or not?

True. Putin took Georgia while Bush was in office. He respected Bush and I think quietly Bush told him not to make any other moves and that was the end of it. He has no respect for Obama and will do as he pleases now.
