This nonsense makes me nauseous. That'll cause me to eat less, so I guess they're getting what they want.
I've said it before about the anti-human enviro-zombies that are always asking for everybody to do, or not to do, something for the planet; lead by example and go off yourselves. I would recommend a rope, as it would be reusable and sustainable. Pffft.
Rather than consuming less of it, though, I think we should be looking for ways to make more of it but with less cruelty and environmental impact.

Eating less fast food is probably closer to proven.
I'm with you on free choice. That means lots of experimentation and competitive results, and ultimately better information for those who become informed.
