Another Climate Alarmist Admits Real Motive Behind Warming Scare
I think a lot of us believe that the whole Global Warming thing is a scam. IBD seems to have come to that conclusion, and their logic matches some of what I have heard here in the Gulch. Nothing new, but it validates the idea of not buying into something that does not operate on a tainted data base.

Why? I just had this thought.
On April's Fool Day, a prankster is expected to have the good manners of saying "April's Fool" after pulling something over on somebody.

So...who cares if Mrs. Clinton is a lying, thieving, felon?
Speaking: Phil Jones, Director, Climatic Research Unit, University of East Anglia, Norwich, England, UK. For "Mike" read Michael Mann, then at the University of Virginia. For "Keith" read Keith Briffa, also at CRU-UEA--Phil Jones' junior colleague.
"We cannot show a warming trend, and it is a travesty that we can't." -- Kevin Trenberth, one of Phil Jones' professional associates (not necessarily at the same institution).
Those are the two most damning quotes I personally found when a UK correspondent sent me a link that let me track down the original Climate-gate Archive. It was I who, writing as "Essex County (New Jersey) Conservative Examiner," on 19 November 2009, moved the Climate-gate story out of the blogosphere (e.g., Anthony Watts' Watts Up With That) and into the realm of semi-professional journalism. Thirty-five thousand page views and a link-back in The Wall Street Journal later, my writing had made an impact: Phil Jones had a three-egg omelet on his face and had to take a leave of absence on the strength of it.
But my biggest proof this is a scam: those who perpetrate it, don't even believe it themselves. They do not live their beliefs. Why did the delegates to the Fifteenth Conference of Parties to the Framework Agreement on Climate Change (COP-15), held in December 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark, travel there in 140 private jet aircraft, and, once arrived, rent out every chauffeured limousine then available on the entire continent of Europe? If you believe in a thing like this, do you not take pains to restrict severely the travel by the delegate to, from, and at the venue? Do you not indeed select the travel centroid of the world, which is Lod (formally Lydda) Airport outside Tel Aviv, Israel, as your venue? Indeed, why even have a physical conference? Why not virtualize it, using Skype or OpenSim, the open-source engine for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games?
...or people have to really be held responsible for their actions.

Here's how science works: You have a theory. You test the theory (in the real world, not a computer), and if the results match what you predicted, you have evidence in favor of your theory. If it doesn't, your theory is wrong. You need to correct your theory, not call people names.
The Global warming theories are far more complex than the simplistic CO2 absorbs heat -- and they are wrong, they have consistently failed to predict subsequent events.
And, yes, the climate changes. All the time.
