There was a 1965 B&W movie, but a remake is overdue.
I can't think of another project that would be "a good fit" for them. Unless they wanted to take on "Anthem." I don't think anyone has tried to adapt that for film.
Do not make the incorrect assumption that the producers of AS will ONLY produce that type of movie... as a moneymaker I think that Capri has a bigger potential audience draw. Sure, I'fd love everyone to see and "get" AS, but truth be told, it will apply across the population,, not just to we rationalist
"Fallen Angels" Pournelle, Niven, Flyn
"The Mote in God's Eye" Pournelle, Niven
"The Prince" (the 4 volume "Falkenberg's Legion" series) Pournelle, Stirling(?)
Pournelle, and probably Niven, will never, ever let these be made into movies. Not after the way Heinlein's widow allowed Verhoven to make "Starshit Troupers".
"Citizen of the Galaxy"
"Have Spacesuit, Will Travel" (someone's working on it...)
- Heinlein
"The Zero Stone/Uncharted Stars"
- Andre Norton
"The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, the Unbeliever"
