Ellen was on Jimmy Kimmel's show recently and she talks about how she can never finish books and the first book she talks about is "The Fountainhead." Very funny clip from the show.

That's funny. I didn't plan on finishing it either. It was tough sledding at first and suddenly I got really into it. The characters were suddenly recognizable as elements of people I knew. They behave bizarrely, as real people do, and Rand offers insight into why.

Before I read it, if I knew a Peter Keeting, I would have thought all that stuff he did was the ruthless pursuit of his own goals and dreams. It is oddly almost the opposite of that. He doesn't having any dreams for himself.

I'm glad to hear them joking about it on a mainstream show.

    Hello JRMR,
I find Ellen amusing at times and utterly ignorant at others. Now that I find she can't finish a book, I understand all I need to about her ignorance. Also, The Fountainhead is over 700 pages.
    Respectfully,
    O.A.

Funny? No. Embarrassing and disgusting, yes. Neither of them realize how completely foolish they appear. What a goal to strive to reach for all the viewers.
Perfect example of a "hero" of the entertainment "industry". Just a great person to mold minds into mush.
Who watches this rubbish? GOP and Dem voters, obviously.
The terrorists have the wrong targets.
