While I would LOVE to see both Clintons in prison, along with Obama, Lynch and Holder. I can see that pursuing the Clintons could easily completely consume Trumps ENTIRE tenure in office. So then he has to decide if it is worth it. There is so much more that needs to be done. Not to mention the very real possibility of Obama giving her a blanket pardon at the last minute.

If she is charged, get ready to see her in a wheelchair, on oxygen, wearing the wacky classes she wore during the Bengasi hearings and with loving Bill next to her wiping the drool from her chin. The narrative will be...."Evil Trump is hounding this poor sick woman to her grave!"

It is not Trump's job as POTUS to pursue a case against Clinton.
That job goes to those he appoints.
For Trump to tell the DOJ and the FBI not to follow the letter of the law is the same kinda Obamanation fascist crap we've had for eight years.
Shillary belongs in jail.

Here's what I hope this actually is: a facade. If he can fake Hillary and Obama for another two months until he takes office and Obama hasn't pardoned her, she has no legal shield.

If Trump really is going to back off and not prosecute her, it sends a very controversial message about his appointment of Sessions as head of Justice Department.

I have 4 comments:
1) The Clintons are defunct now and can no longer be a threat to freedom loving people.
2) Hillary needs to be in jail for the sake of fairness to the people who ARE in jail already for fewer violations.
3) Obama will pardon her if it looks like the world is against her.
4) Better to talk "nice-nice" until after Jan 20, and let the AG at the time go after her when Obama cant pardon her anymore.

During the transition Trump has a lot on his plate. He is already the victim of attacks as if the campaign was still going on. I am hoping he is merely putting this on the back burner, not taking it off the stove, until he is officially in office and more urgent matters are attended to. As I say, I hope.

I think Trump is just jerking the lamestream press' chain with wordplay. Sure, he won't directly pursue prosecution of Shrillary, but that doesn't mean the new AG won't appoint a special counsel to investigate her server scandal. And what of the server scandal anyway? It's a relatively minor crime compared to the wholesale influence peddling that occurred with the Clinton Global Initiative. Selling the US government to foreign interests was the Clinton Crime Family business, and is probably prosecutable under the RICO laws. It would be priceless if the government would confiscate all their money and apply it to paying down the national debt.

message should be sent that you cannot do what the clintons have done and get away with it...it undermines justice and only encourages others to do likewise...
the clintons should be fully prosecuted...be made to make restitution, and spend the rest of their lives in prison...

The underlings who suffered under Hillary will do the dirty work for the justice Dept. Within a year, when they are sure the Clinton machine can no longer destroy them, books, articles, and simple leaking of information will flood the internet. Living in the country I occasionally will need to remove a large dead tree. Always easier to clear the small ones out of the way first........

Trump should not get involved in the investigation of the Clinton crime family. The DOJ and FBI should follow the investigation to wherever the facts lead them and whatever action is appropriate. Let Trump do what president should do for he is not Obama.

Trump is referring to the email and Benghazi pursuits, but I don't think he's going to demand that the FBI and IRS cease the investigation of the Clinton Foundation. He also can't stop the cases filed by Judicial Watch or the Benghazi mothers against Hillary. We may see the end of the Clinton Foundation anyway, since now that she has nothing to sell, the contributions are shrinking rapidly.

If she really does have Parkinsons disease, then pursuing even a corrupt figure in declining health will just feed the vindictive beast the MSM has become, giving them more ammunition to use against Trump.

As long as the investigations are not blocked by Trump the Clintons are not out of the woods as yet. It's true that while the President has no direct part in such proceedings, his direct wishes are usually respected. However, Trump's statements do not appear to negate indictments based on currently ongoing investigations.
We shall see.

Don't forget that Trump is a pure pragmatist.
He is backing off many promises: prosecuting Hillary, minimum wage, climate change, building a wall, and even how hard to fight ISIS, He did what he had to do to get out the vote for him, but he has no principles to guide him and will change with the wind.

Pardon or not, I think a state could still find something to prosecute.......

I suggest Trump is feinting. He must mislead Obama, who might pardon Hillary at midnight 20 January 2017.

In at least one earlier interview he hinted at a lessening of his fervor for the jailing of Hillary. It may be that political realities are starting to dawn on him. To continue the "jail Hillary" move is to detract attention and effort away from the truly important portions of his agenda (Tax reform, supreme court nominees, infrastructure etc.) which can be ill afforded. The Democrats have already indicated they will fight him on almost everything he proposed and the Senate Majority Leader doesn't seem inclined to suspend the filibuster rule to get things don or to use reconciliation to throw out Obamacare.
Adding the distraction of a Hillary investigation would play into the hands of the opposition, Dem and Rep.
Don't get me wrong, I want that B in jail so bad that I can taste it. I spent almost 30 years with Secret and Top Secret clearances and lived with the restrictions on my life and my families life. I understood the penalties for violating the security rules and standards. To see someone so blatantly violate the rules and endanger peoples lives and the security of this country and get away with it is sickening, but there are time you bite the bullet and let it slide for the greater good. Se is now living with the result of her own stupidity and will have to live with it the remainder of her life. May it be long and torturous.
