Pope: ‘Muslim Terrorism Does Not Exist’

I know religion is a hot topic with some, but after reading this I had to come to the conclusion AR is in a better position as an atheist, than the Pope is as a religious leader. To be so naive as to say there is no terrorists, that basically it is just a bunch of poor people oppressed by the rich, that it is all some kind of evil plot, is denial on a pathological scale. I guess it just goes hand in hand with all the killing, raping, and slavery that ISIS imposed on the Yazahdi and Christians. I guess he would tell them to "buck up little campers, god will provide". Well, god didn't...

What foolishness! Just read the Koran and observe what the Muslims have done over the last 1500 years. No terrorism? He's living in dreamland.

I would say that the Pope is at the very least culpable in the abhorrent behavior of those violent individuals, if not an outright enabler - if the violence stems from the lack of love and financial benefits, surely the Pope has plenty of both that he's no sharing. Shame on him!

What I find discomfiting is that Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam is treated in the press as an acceptable expression of faith (even after Farrakhan's call for 10,000 black "soldiers" to kill whites), while the Christian Militant sect, which adheres to strict orthodox Catholicism and rejects the "new and improved" church is called dangerous and threatening. Progressives fanatically protect Islam, which is anti-feminist, anti-gay, and murderously xenophobic toward other faiths, while viciously attacking Christianity as racist (?) and bigoted. This seems like an at least suicidal belief system our modern society has adopted.

I'm not so sure the Irish Republican Army was a Christian group as much as it was a group of Christians.
The historical record of Christian brutality in the name of religion is well know from hundreds of years ago.
Today we see the Islamic terrorist trained to hate by the madras's ,the clerics and govt.s.
It is socially accepted and celebrated in their countries and communities. They kill because they hate and their goal of wiping out the west.

'60's and '70's? The porn has been part of the Vatican "culture" for at least one thousand years. Plenty of documentation of orgies, child rape, and all kinds of fun; it is in no way limited to any short period, nor is it about to end.

I think I get the gist of the message, it's people, not the religion - we have had Christian terrorists too, such as the IRA, but I don't see any Jews or Christians contributing to world terrorism - that's a uniquely Muslim thing, and so is their state funding sources.

As Francis always seems to think, they kill because they are poor, rather than they are only poor because of their oppressive dictatorial governments. It's his hidden message of "blame America" without being able to criticize the source of about 70% of worldwide catholic contributions.

Just before I was drafted into the Marines November of 1969, I bought a paperback called The Bad Popes~
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bad...
Maybe someone should write The Dope Popes.
Should that be six of them like in the original book, maybe Francis could be listed as "Pope Dope VI."

How he can say there are no muslim terrorists is so frigging beyond belief, I am tempted to email the Vatican the video of the 20 or so christians on the beach getting their heads hacked off. I suppose they just consider them martyrs? It immediately destroys any credibility the dude may have had. And they like to complain that Trump is a loon....he is quite sane compared to this guy..

You made a finishing statement that gives me an opening to ask, "What head?" (Sorry, it hurt dino too much NOT to write that).
If the Pope wants to meet with ISIS, he had better bring a larger army or else a prayer rug and know how to say stuff like 'Allah akbar" while bowing toward whichever way Mecca happens to be located over there in the Middle East.
Otherwise, he will surely lose whatever kinda gourd sets on his neck.
(At first I wrote melon but it occurred to me that a melon has something inside of it).

You got that right, Dino, Esq. I sat in some classes where a lot of garbage was taught. I never believed any of it, and I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Which makes me wonder what is wrong with students today....can't they make up their own minds. They are so easily led. If this rather intellectually challenged Pope wants to meet with ISIS, he'd do well to remember three things...these terrorists want to either convert, enslave, or kill. The Pope might be returning to Rome without his head.

Me dino was told to be an altar boy and never wanted to be one.
Anyway, I recall two different priests. One would have me pour in a little wine and mix it with a lot of water.
Then he'd make a terrible face when drinking it.
The other would have me pour in a lot of wine and mix it with just a little bitty amount of water.
He loved that stuff. Glug! Glug! Glug!
Last I heard he retired to a mental health facility.

This Pope is way over the top. At best he is naive and is under the mistaken belief that liberalism equates compassion. At worst he is a communist who seeks to harm western civilization. I believe he is the latter..
