Simmons is both a money making machine and
A publicity hound. In his business he certainly knows how to capitalize on opportunities.

Yes .The life of a rock star, millions in the bank ,business interests, Shannon Tweed . He has an ability to stay in the publics eye. No risk on this venture that's for sure.

It is clear he understands capitalism, and is no snowflake. His Internet post to immigrants, "Learn the damn language" was a lesson in capitalism they could profit from followoing.

I was in business with Gene Simmons. We (my son and I) published a graphic biography of KISS. Gene wanted to sue us at first, but since the Federal Court had already come down with a decision on our side when New Kids On The Block actually did sue us and the court found that we were within out First Amendment rights just the same as someone publishing a hard cover book. Gene wisely decided that if you can't beat them, join them, and 4 more books later we pretty much covered the history of KISS from start to finish and everything in between. Unlike many rockers, Gene and his partner, Paul Stanley did not act like stupid children when it came to drugs, alcohol or money. As a result, unlike other band members, you'll never find those two Israeli boys dying from overdoses, or in need of charity. As a matter of fact, Simmons lives a life that most men only dream of. He is married to a beautiful soft core porn star, has two children, boy and girl, and enough money to keep him going forever. He wants more money. I think it's a game to him, hence the horns. He is stirring up the pot without getting seriously involved in anything and getting a little attention out of it.

At least Simmons was smart enough to drop the issue when the crap started to hit the fan. It's a done deal...he even did a bit of a mea culpa, which I think was needed. But like some of the other posters, I can move on & not lose any sleep over the issue.

Well deserved "Horns and the finger" for those krauts and a con.
I totally agree, that hand symbol has been used for many many generations.

Simmons isa fulla it. "The horns" is an Italian hand gesture that goes way back.
I first saw this gesture in an old black and white episode of The Untouchables when an angry widow rendered it at a crime boss and his wife, both reacting with fear and loathing.
Little dino at the time suspected that they were overreacting and me the dino overall was right.
In that novel I'm writing my heroine has alternated "the horns" and "the middle finger" at her German pursuers during a prolonged horse chase.
Should I manage to be published, I have no intention of seeking the permission from the frontman of a con.

Waste of resources dealing with this rubbish. Waste of time discussing it. Sideshow distraction is what the mainstream media does best.
