A question on politics

How is it that a political party that espouses any, if not in fact all of the positions outlined below be regaining favor and likely to return to power in the next election?
1. You owe everything you have accomplished to those that have gone before and paved the way, so you have done nothing.
2. If you aren’t given free birth control or do not use it and become pregnant, just kill it.
3. The state should provide you with all essentials for life: food, clothing, shelter, transportation, medical care and whatever else you consider necessary.
4. You do not need to protect yourself, family or property because it is the states’ job and you can’t be trusted have any weapon because you might use it in some forbidden way such as posing a threat to the state or any person therein.
5. You must attend government schools to learn all the rules, the history and reason for the rules and the proper thoughts required to accept the rules.
6. The rules are relative and have no basis in law but can be changed at any time to adjust to political situations.
7. Anyone from anywhere should be able to come here, share in all of our benefits even if they can contribute nothing and may even be an enemy.
8. We have offended other countries in the past by being more successful, therefore we should apologize to them and make rules to reduce us to their level, which is only fair.
9. Thoughts that are not approved are evil, forbidden and expressing them deserves punishment.
10. Minorities are oppressed by the fact that they are fewer and therefore less powerful so the rules must be made to be in their favor so we will all be equal.
11. Goods must be produced to fill the needs of the people but no one should profit from doing so.
12. Everyone that does anything must do so in service to the state and any resistance to this requirement must be quashed.

    "we have been brainwashed"
Changing this from passive to active voice, it would read "someone has brainwashed us". I agree with everything else in your post about humans serving their master like sheep and waiting for a supernatural reward. But I don't think the default state was reason and someone brainwashed people. I think the collective sheep mentality is the default state for humankind. Maybe it had some selective advantages of allowing people to work as groups beyond their clan. I'm not sure about the cause, but I think it's the default state. With the industrial revolution, the value people could produce wasn't limited by arable land. People made huge leaps forward in respecting individual rights. A pre-industrial person would struggle to understand the average modern person talking having a right to change jobs, study for a different job, move wherever she feels like, without feeling obligations to god, kings, family, etc. Our society is far from perfect because of human frailties. Saying people are brainwashed implies they would naturally be consummate rational individuals if it weren't for someone skillfully manipulating them. It overlooks how far people have come.

I see humankind as having cast off a lot of brainwashing. We've come so far but have so far yet to go.

It goes back further than that. One fundamental error was made by Jefferson: he founded the University of Virginia. Not, of course, with the inten-
tion that these things should come to pass, but by putting government in charge of education. And it is rather sickening to hear people speak so fervently, and reverently, in favor of public education, even when they do not like the kind of public education that is being practiced nowadays. Just mention abolishing it, and listen to the cries of horror. But it is time to start advocating just that--abolition.

Funny you say that as the word,”Sacrifice” literally means “to make holy.”

I think that we have been brainwashed that self sacrifice is the ultimate value and that makes us behave in the collective like sheep. We are just waiting it out and serving our masters until we can collect our reward in Heaven. Meanwhile the wise ones are reaping all the rewards produced by the sheep while they are still on earth.

I think collectivist behaviors are natural for humankind. The politics and parties are just vehicles to express these natural urges. We often think of natural things as being good, but clearly that's not always true, esp in the natural collectivist impulse. Most people here say there are dueling philosophies of individualism vs. collectivism. I think it's more like the dueling natural impulse to consume excessive carbs and sugar vs the knowledge that I'll get more value in the long run by limiting my intake.

Asking how collectivist elements found their way into society invites empty political answers. The question is how we managed to overcome them and how we can get back on that path of individualism.

Thank you for posting the link. I have been immersed. As much as I have read, and that include's Quigley's book, I am still amazed how far back this who dishonest conspiracy goes. Hearing the blatant admissions of the goals by those in power was chilling.

So maybe that’s the driving force behind the seemingly unstoppable slide to collectivism in the world today. As society becomes wealthier, it’s more tolerant of irresponsibility. Straight up reality is unforgiving if someone is irresponsible. Go out in the cold irresponsibly unprepared and you simply die. Maybe economic collapse as in AS is the only solution to convince people to not be irresponsible. Kind of a scary thought

Sorry, chad, but the minorities referred to in position 10 are only "oppressed" racial/ethnic minorities, not political. Weren't you paying attention while immersed in position 5 to obtain insight to position 6 and, therefore, you should automatically feel the truth of position 10? It would seem you need to be returned to a more intensive position 5 and be re-educated. Go directly to room 101.

    Hey, coaldigger, nice list! LOL!

This collectivism did not happen overnight. It has been promoted by the UN and government schools for over wo decades, and that was full force,. Clinton put in a curriculum which made sure parents knew tey were not smart enough to raise their children. The students were told thyeir parents wre not with the times and computers. They began brainwashing them against capitalism, guns, God, individualism, real science, all the things Rand predicted, some Dostoevsky even said would happen. Kids could only function as part of peer groups, not as a self, an I. Textbooks rewrote history toward collectivism good, capitalism bad. Exhausted parents whose kids did not respect them, gave up, the kids bought into the entitlement teachers preached. they were told they were all "the best" and deserved huge salaries the economy could not support, or else they should not work at all, so they didn't All they while Hillary and her Village and the UN and Agenda 21 worked the media, pushing this whole agenda. And that is how we got here, now what do we do?

Emotion is much easier than reason. Being irresponsible is much easier than being responsible. Destroying is much easier than building. Kicking your dog is much easier than buying it food and feeding it.

Easy, they lie. If they spoke truthfully about their goals and beliefs, they would be laughed off the stage and they know it.

dropping out wont change their minds; they will try to increase the burden on those who havent dropped out. That said, by dropping out, their loot will undoubtedly decrease, which will prevent them from enacting so many controls.

As it is stated on the Ministry of Truth great white pyramid, “War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.” Sad to say, but most people are afraid and just want to be a member of the pack, no matter who is in charge or what is being proposed.

Your 12 points explain the collectivists very well. The question for us is where is the opposition to this poison. Certainly not the GOP. The left has infiltrated all aspects of life in the last 100 years, schools, courts, news, politicians. What is the path back ?? I have a 55ft sail boat with solar and a water maker, what's your plan, The end is nigh.

Agreed. There is more than one way to drop out. By using the system to your advantage you have two positive effects - you deny them the right to your labor and you add to the burden, hopefully bringing about a change that much sooner.

They aren't. Don't believe media nor polls which are "taken" to FORM opinion, not reflect it.
