California's Self-Inflicted Housing Disaster Couldn't Get Worse — Or Could It?

Proof that Dumbocraps and their Liberal Left policies are too destructive to allow to continue, and a warning to those (like me) that live in states (like Oregon) that are just a hair away from being in the same "one party state" situation. This quote describes the real hypocrisy of the the "government above all else" gang : "It's a war on the poor, disguised as a housing crisis."

Maybe Hawaii will vote to ban volcanoes due to their significant contribution to global warming. Gota stop all that scalding lava from pouring into the ocean. The poor polar bears are losing their home!

Leftist are typically brash, unreasonable, illogical and lose arguments, yet strikingly effective at progressively winning by appealing to emotions.

Unfortunately, the demand that any new homes be solar powered, and a new layer of environmental regulations may make it impossible to keep up the supply of affordable homes. That will put a crimp in the supply that will keep house prices high, and maybe drive them higher. Already, families with six figure incomes can't buy homes in San Francisco.

Actually, Governor Brown announced a plan to ban all gasoline/diesel cars by 2040.Hopefully there are enough California voters that will wake up before the situation gets much worse. The Democrats have lost their supermajority in the state legislature, which should slow down some of the insanity.

But not before the auto industry patrons and lobbyists get the rules set so they can force you to buy "their" cars only. While something of the car costs will go to the secret "Kalifornia Politician Care Fund" no one sees.

And as that migration occurred Oregon, Washington, and Nevada have been lost to liberal urban majorities that migrated from CA hoping to escape their own stupidity. Migration doesn't correct stupidity, however, it only spreads it. Unlimited immigration from the latin south has added to the problem since those people have never experienced liberty, free markets, and the economic success that results. They can't know how impossible it is to have economic success without free markets and individual liberty. So they vote for their own enslavement by so-called liberals and big government in league with corrupt, uncompetitive big business.

Luna is a root word that pertains to the moon.
Moonbeam being elected can only mean you're outnumbered by lunatics.
Or at least by the loonies who vote.

Corrupt socialist behavior has nothing to do with rational thought.
Why is me dino suddenly thinking of dogs who uselessly chase their tails? Surely, it's the smarter dogs who don't do that.

All of my family has left. Almost all of my friends have left. All of my coworkers are buying property in other States and will leave soon. All of them. Once I wrap up this phase of my career I'm out.

Yeah. I've lived in California almost all of my life. I've come to realize after 5 decades that the leftists are really all about control. They don't even try to look correct in their reasoning anymore. It's, "Housing costs too much. Here. Have some mandated PV panels that will increase the price of every house and not give you any sort of return on investment due to our cozy relationship with the public utilities commission." Or, "We must have a high-speed train. Here. We're building one from Bakersfield to Fresno." Or, "We must preserve the beauty of the coast. No, you're not allowed to take your kids there. Well, only in this area where you have to pay for parking and are limited to this tiny NIMBY stretch of sand." Or, (this is my latest favorite), "The California universal healthcare program will double the total State budget, triple your property tax, double your state income tax, quadruple sales tax, double gas tax. You're welcome. It's coming."

Here is another problem with all those synonyms, they all add up to a hammer on innovation. Anyone who wants to build a house and wants to finance anything with it, will need all those tickets, permits, fees ad approvals. So if you have an innovative idea, and want to test it, if you do NOT comply with their idea of "correct" or do not adhere to whatever rules the industry has bought through politicians, you are screwed. The whole system does NOTHING to encourage innovation and new ideas, it stifles and kills them. I believe that is by design. I see it as a monster the builders thought they bought and owned so only they could get the permissions needed, and it has now spun out of control and is biting them as much as everyone else. Corruption quickly becomes its own master.

Uh, you are presenting shockingly realistic scenarios, I can easily see the electric car, organic farm ideas being imposed on the people with no problem. The workers are almost all already trained, and even their science studies are just a mask for liberal studies, so you are not far off the mark. I have to work with some of the Masters and Phd grads from some of Kalifornias best, and I will testify that this is indeed the truth, as their common sense and ability to apply knowledge and create new concepts and discoveries is minimal, but their political reliability is guaranteed..
