Blazing Saddles is one of me dino's favorite movies.
Born 1947, I grew up seeing The Quiet Man and Darby O'Gill and the Little People.
Had no idea the Irish were once discriminated against.
Growing up in the Deep South, I remember seeing "Colored Only" rest rooms and water fountains though.

Every time I hear of that Irish issue, I recall a scene from Blazing Saddles. Prior to that scene, I had never heard of it. Yet another failing of the propaganda mills known as public schools.

Spines are rare among europeans. Haven't seen many who had one since WW2, and that was when they were directly threatened with death. (Thatcher was one exception however flawed she may have otherwise been. I'm no expert.)
