THUD! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPe-F...
That headline is from The New York Times, y'all.
Woooo! Take that, Trump!
During the 70s me dino worked for a small newspaper with my big bad journalism degree and I just gotta say the first paragraph of that big badder New York newspaper isn't written very well.
Take a look at it. It doesn't say a thing about the approach of Hurricane Michael.
So I guess Trump is boarding Air Force One en route to Florida due to the "oncoming calamity" called Climate Change.
The hurricane and Climate Change must be as one. Yeah, that must be because Climate Change causes all the hurricanes these days.
We all know how libs think.
That's why me dino has selected Politics as the category for this post.
The linked article contains the usual libtarded propaganda.

Yes, 13-year-old intellects without parental supervision may think they're oh so grown up but have such things as uncorrected bad hygiene issues.

    You're welcome.
That 2020 dastardly disaster date should not be so easily given up on for being so near in the future.
Year 2020 can be touted as disaster visionaries having a perfect 2020 vision.to work with.

Trump saved the USA a lot of money by getting out of that Paris Accord scam.
Wonder how much the USA chips in to the international funding of the IPCC.
Me dino is for getting out of the UN altogether and advising the UN to move their base of operations to someplace like the socialist showcase of Venezuela.

There is science and then there is Jackass Party science.
I'm sure Jackass Party science is what neo-pagan Wiccans (modern day witches, warlocks and even some druids) prefer.
Hey, this is America! Something for everybody here!
Do believe I spotted Satanists when I worked at a state prison.
My training taught they liked to sport a teardrop tattoo under an eye. That's to weep for Satan ruling in hell and not in heaven.

If the results from what they call, “climate change” are to be valid, then the scientific method must be used. That means any corruption to the scientific method needs to be well documented but utterly thrown out in the final results. If this is not done as a matter of good and honest practice, or if other scientist are actively denied from doing this, then the results are invalid as far as science is concerned.

While Danson actually has a BA degree from Carnegie Mellon University, his actions reveal an intellect of a 13 year old at best. Based upon the company he keeps, I wouldn't want to be anywhere within sneezing range for the sake of maintaining my health.

For a biased politically based cult that uses false and corrupt data, and makes false and misleading claims to further their own ends, “pseudo-science” is also a good term for this activist attack on science and the scientific method.

I always thought the problem was in the progressively pushed and highly political definition of the term, “climate change.” I completely agreee that the climate changes. But that is not what at all what THEY mean.

I saw the article, and I thought it was unfortunate they mention it at President Trump. The tendency to put off paying for things is a common behavior for humanity, and it's silly to expect leadership on a serious long-term issue from a politician, esp one famous for attention-seeking antics. I accept we'll put off the costs of the national debt and global warming as far as possible.

I don't agree with all the dire predictions because has the problems present, someone steps up and works on them. It's sort of a variation of the Malthusian prediction. We keep escaping the trap with new technologies. I actually think that's happening now. Look to inventors to find solutions, not the desk of someone who's specialty is childish attention-seeking behavior.

OK, it's official. Since it is now published in the failing New York Times the new deadline date of dastardly disaster is 2040. They missed 1990, 2000, 2012 (made a movie about that one), and looks like a miss for 2020, too. The only sign I'll believe is the "For Sale" sign in front of each celebrity's beach front property as the sea actually rises to the point it isn't worth the sand it's made out of.

Thanks for the morning laugh and entertainment, Dino!

What's the difference between "alt-science" and any other religion? Is Scientology "alt-science"? People used to use the term pseudo-science. Are these synonymous. How about Ecology, is that "alt," or is there a legitimate content?

I could look all this up myself, if I cared. So, I'm really only asking rhetorically, to imply that it makes no difference what anyone chooses to call insanity. I would simply dismiss any such pretense as Not Reality (i.e., a content or conclusion not susceptible to proof, logic or integration).

We're all gonna die!!! Ted Danson said so! (Look that up. I remember when he actually said that back in the 90s. I think it's best to get my science knowledge from actors with 9th grade educations...)

Yep! That's precisely what that climate crap is all about.
It's up to patriots to expose and resist the socialist globalist end game.

Sounds like an alt-science, where the data is designed to fit the theory. Where that which does not fit the theory is denied. Where emotion is the driver, and reason takes a backseat.

It is an emotionally driven alt-science used by collectivist activists in political arenas all across the globe. It has become a cult of worshipers who believe. It is one of a few “sciences” where when real scientists show data that rationally disputes their preconceived notions, they are activity and often brutally denied. In alt-science, emotion is the driver and reason takes a backseat.

I care about this in similar way that I care about the soreading viruses of socialism

"we get these narrow-minded, so-called nationalist, populist leaders, we could have a big problem"

Sounds like a quote from fat King George in 1775.

They are patriots who resist the corrupt centralization of power that has destruction of individual liberty as its central goal.

    You don't have to care,
Me dino is only following examples set by Rush Limbaugh of Fox Radio, Sean Hannity of Fox Radio and TV
and Tucker Carlson of Fox TV for playing snippets of libs saying stupid and dastardly things.
Here I'm just doing the same with the printed word.

Data (so-called) used by the IPCC, and used for concocting dire climate warnings, is even worse than skeptics thought, The IPCC conducts no audits, does no checks.

    - Data made up without a base of measurements
    - Actual data ignored.
    - tropical islands record a monthly average of zero degrees
    - A spot in Romania had a whole month with an average of minus 45 degrees.
    - One site in Colombia recorded three months at over 80 degrees C. That is so incredibly hot that even the minimums there were probably hotter than the hottest day on Earth.
    - boats on dry land seemingly recorded ocean temperatures from as far as 100km inland
    - Fahrenheit temperatures mistaken for Celsius,
.. and for the next seventy years no one noticed.

These findings are in an independent 135-page audit available for $8.
You can help support months of work that should have been done by official agencies years ago.

My stove burner no longer lights (climate change.) One of my plants died (climate change.) My car won’t start (climate change.) I was late for work (climate change.) My brother got sick (climate change.) The toilet backed up (climate change.)

Maybe the progressive angry looniness of leftists is being caused by (climate change.)

In all seriousness, the climate does change. And that’s a good thing.
