Wrong -- One human being's rights can't violate another's rights. This fails to distinguish what causes rights to apply - a that is being an independent entity. A fetus is biologically a parasite, not an independent living thing.

We can make laws re late term abortion, but that only makes sense in the context of assigning rights early for cultural/ethical reasons. Potential and actual need to be distinguished. To not do that is ethically incompetent.

What we need to legalize is post birth abortion for Socialist and Democrats.

Thinking in essentials --

A woman is a human being.
A fetus is a parasitic potential human being.
Not distinguishing the difference and a woman's, right to one's own body is ethically incompetent.

Have kept all of my "real" books. Have a brother who is an English professor in CA and he tells me to get rid of them, if I want to re-read them, just pull them up on line.

I have seen too many changes on line in the books that I truly enjoy - Heinlein's "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" comes immediately to mind - so I still have my wall of books.
The Harvard Classics five foot shelf of books has all of one shelf, but the other several shelves have all of the Asimov, Heinlein et al and of course the ligher stuff, like Douglas Adams - I have all 5 of his books in the trilogy in leather covers.
It is great stuff to use get away from the insanity of current life - reading about insanity from someone else's life! A great story.
Bottom line would be my recommendation is to hang onto your real books.

Indeed. However the problem lies in Zinn's view of American history being so quickly and widely accepted within academia and then pushed onto students. Zinn's bad seeds were sown on fertile corrupted ground already in existence.

Disclaimer: I have not read Zinn's work, but have read many critiques and listened to various discussions on radio and TV and formed my opinions from them. I won't pay much for Zinn's book, but am willing to pay a buck or two at a used book store just to check it out myself.
