Things political have been getting strange for quite a while, but it's been speeding up it seems. Only a decade or so ago I never would have guessed a full commie (commie lite, maybe) jihadi would run NYC, but here we are. On a side note I am now about 2/3rds through the book "Target: Patton", whom Stalin and others hated and wanted permanently gone. The author documents the amount of Soviet infiltrators and spies within the US government during WWII and beyond is enormous. It seems FDR would kiss Stalin's behind every day and twice on Sunday, too. The commie pot in the US has brewing, even at the highest levels, for some time and now we are seeing the boil begin.

Love the 250th special edition, OUC! Thank you! Perhaps the best inventions of all would be the Declaration of Independence and a working Constitution for a newly invented republic on the face of the earth that provided the ground work for all that followed.

John Adams got this right. But notifying the new country’s citizens with a declaration that explained and justified the Lee resolution took priority on July 4th. I have learned to live with that. : )

I like the "We made it!" There ought to be a picture of Obama with a circle and line through it next to that.

Yes, I do have such negative experience. My company was shadowbanned for telling an inconvenient truth about Dr. Fauci and COVID. That being said, for some of us inventors, the thrill of the invention and the making of money off of it far outweighs the negatives.

You already have experience with hurdles that can instantly appear blocking your success.
You will have to deal with that kind of corruption and blackmail if your inventions become popular.

As producers, each of us has a slightly different tolerance for looters and moochers. Ayn Rand, John Galt, and likely you would argue that my tolerance for them is too high, but Dagny and Hank Rearden would not. That is a big part of why Atlas Shrugged is such a wonderful book. There is an intriguing balance between intolerance for looters and moochers versus an insatiable appetite for invention.

It will be a good time when we can respond like Howard Roark, "I don't think of you." Right now, the Iranians are like an annoying mosquito. They have a low probability of a both a minor annoyance and perhaps even death if they carry a life-threatening disease. Swatting them often is a waste of time, but a successful swat can be rewarding.

I appreciate the sadness of this post, but I can't dwell on that. There is too much inventing and transacting to do. The business and invention climate have certainly improved recently, especially here in Florida. My region in particular is turning into Galt's Gulch.

Because we are civilized, and we shouldn't break peace agreements we have voluntarily made, unless our enemy does so.
Yes, it does appear that the 'leaders' of Iran intend the funeral as an insult to us.
They want us to break the peace so they can claim to be superior.
It is a propaganda move.
It is obvious to most people and we should be smart enough not to respond to it with foolish anger.
We will respond at a time of our choice, not the time of the enemy.
If the 'leaders' of Iran want their assets that we control to be released,
insulting us will do the opposite.
String the enemy along until the midterms have been won, and then the foot can fall.
