Methinks worry about how the voting actually turned out today had me all giddy yesterday.
Has our Constitutional Republic slipped into and is cooking in a toaster? - 105Posted by $ jbrenner 2 days, 14 hours ago to [Ask the Gulch] I almost think I should apologize for Texas, We have a thief and a communist running against each other for the US Senate. nbEven my part of Florida almost went Communist!
- 106Posted by mccannon01 2 days, 14 hours ago to California transplants in Texas are voting Democrat, and they see no irony in itI have family in Phoenix. Nice to visit, but I don't want to live there.

- 111Posted by ssipress 3 days, 7 hours ago to California transplants in Texas are voting Democrat, and they see no irony in itTrue. Massively.
Hard to find any benefit to having them here. Almost makes us want to let them ruin the place, so the migration stops. - 112Posted by freedomforall 3 days, 8 hours ago to [Ask the Gulch] I almost think I should apologize for Texas, We have a thief and a communist running against each other for the US Senate. nbNo apology needed.
I can't name a single state that doesn't have a thief (or two) in the US senate.
Many were thieves in the election that put them there, and after arrival they showed their true talent, stealing. - 113Posted by diessos 3 days, 8 hours ago to California transplants in Texas are voting Democrat, and they see no irony in itAnd all the Cali transplants drove up the cost of real estate.
- 114Posted by ssipress 3 days, 8 hours ago to California transplants in Texas are voting Democrat, and they see no irony in itUnfortunately, the same thing has been happening here in Arizona for years.
When I finally scramoosed out of Illinois about 10 years ago, I chose to move here to Arizona, which had a Republican Governor and both Republican Senators.
Now all three have completely switched, and the county I live in (Maricopa) is the most corrupt in terms of voting in the country. As long as the election cheaters remain in office, of course nothing will ever change.
Maybe time to move again? - 115Posted by $ 25n56il4 3 days, 9 hours ago to [Ask the Gulch] I almost think I should apologize for Texas, We have a thief and a communist running against each other for the US Senate. nbDon't question me, I have the truth, I held back on publishing my book until after the election,

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LEOJAKM?... - 117It's up to the Iranian people to make the changes, in the meme tyme, their government is in a lot of pain.
The Iranian people begged us to help, we did, any more would harm them unnecessarily, it will work out, just not on our impatient time table.
I don't think we'll lose the house, we know who's cheating and they know we are watching but just the same, they are stupid and will cause a LOT OF SHIT, they are likened to a cornered animal.
Stay safe, we live in a very bad area with some of the worst democraps known to mankind. - 118Posted by mccannon01 3 days, 13 hours ago to The Bird in the CageNicely written. Thank you for posting in the Gulch.

It never ceases to annoy me how the KKK-founding Democrats blame the Republican party (which was founded to fight Democrat slavery) for racism, or how the current "Antifa" fascists say the conservatives are the fascists.
The fascists in Germany in the 1930's were socialist radicals.
"Blame the other guy for what you yourself do" should have been Saul Alinsky's fourteenth rule. - 120Posted by Lucky 3 days, 14 hours ago to Forget about what he has done. I will follow the mainstream brainwashing machine and say ‘Trump dicked this up”Yes, yes .. .. 2 dozen times.
Has Trump eased of? In military action, Yes.
Is that surrender? No.
Big important actions are underway by
Treasury Sec Scott Bessant who knows what he is doing.

- 123Posted by Dobrien 3 days, 19 hours ago to Forget about what he has done. I will follow the mainstream brainwashing machine and say ‘Trump dicked this up”Yes bad writing on my part…… The Trump administration finalized revised federal fuel economy standards, scaling back requirements implemented under the Biden administration.
Key Details of the Rule Change
• New Fleetwide Target: Lowers the required fleetwide average for new passenger cars and light-duty trucks to 34.9 miles per gallon (mpg) by 2031 (starting at roughly 32.3 mpg in model year 2027).
• Previous Standard: Replaces the Biden-era rules that targeted a fleetwide average of 50.4 mpg by 2031.
• Annual Increase: Mandates a 1% annual increase in fuel efficiency instead of the previous 2% annual increase.
Projected Impacts
• Vehicle Costs: The Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimate the rule lowers the average upfront purchase price of a new vehicle by about $1,289 to $1,300 and reduces industry compliance costs. - 124So what good has come of this? I would be the first to agree with getting rid of Iran’s leadership, but that didn’t and isn’t happening.
And we are losing both houses now, which may very well not have happened. - 125Posted by Beardedbass 4 days ago to Bots and AI running the market - how to copeIt is a sad state of affairs, as it is clear that our market is no longer a function for determining which companies are operating most efficiently and in the best possible manner. When something as simple as a tweet from an uninvolved individual can influence the "value" of a company, I can't help but ask what is the value of the market?
