Which is wrong. I am sorry this happened to your son. (As an example, I had a cousin who was dying from SIDS when his mom found him and saved his life. He was basically brain dead from loss of oxygen and had to be raised in an institution. She cannot discuss it, which I can understand). (Wyeth vaccine deaths were pushed under the rug, I later discovered)

The "Bugs Bunny" generation - I kinda like that appellation! Yeah - had to scrabble for everything, large family and had to help put food on the table early (11yo delivering papers). Most had strong morals.
Most held their faith close to their breast.
They lived through some of the most trying times in 100 years and came through stronger for it.

My generation (The Bugs Bunny Generation) for the most part, grew up in a bubble.
It's only because I grew up incredibly poor that I had a clue as to what true reality was.

The old man had a dog-eared copy of Atlas Shrugged in the attic library. Along with copies of Churchill and Hemingway.

Hoover's FBI attics, adopted by every power broker, is the main problem:
Find or create dirt on the schmuck you want to control, tell them what you have on them, if they don't vote or act "the right way" you get ruined.
Politicians, Judges, Military Brass, it's all the same to the Cabal running this world.
The result is all the same: Control.

In FL. I have emergency Solar. Enough to charge my power bricks to keep things alive (Fridge, Freezer, tools, devices... A FAN LOL)...

But I have NEVER been able to make the math work. Our Electric Bill is roughly $2,400/yr.

Almost 30% is used at night (A/C set to 70 at night). The best offer for getting solar was
into the $30-$36K range. That's pre-purchasing 15 years of total electricity. More like 20+ years
When adjusted. And in FL, none of the warranty companies survives 25+ years.
So, I would have to prepay for 20 years of electricity to basically break even by the time I need
to start replacing stuff. (Now, if you can do it yourself, great).

And as the Govt "Assistance" for this is going away or gone. It's even harder.
Roof Leaks and then future Roof Repairs/Replacements. (Elon is on to something combining them). But I just can't justify it.

Now, I have my 4 panel system so we don't lose the freezer.
I think we need 1-2 more breakthroughs... But not sure if we will still be standing.

I trust the unseen and expressed actions and intentions of President Trump. I am patient and can wait out the temporary gas price hikes. What helps is that I drive a Mitsu 3 banger and my commute is 15 minutes each way. Note- this is a good time to think about solar for real. Note I am not a dooshbag Democrat; I truly believe solar used properly would be a boon to America and would displace some of the oil we use.
