Anyone who is constantly transmitting and never receiving will alway come to that conclusion. Sad actually.

The forum owners decide on their own standards and how to apply them. Anyone can judge for himself if that is being done consistently. There is no contradiction in what I wrote.

Anyone can see that your own responses here are snarling, sneering personal attacks, not logic.

So which one is it?
1. The forum owners can do as they choose.
2. Comments you assert are "attacks" are attacks, and (fill in the blank) should happen because of the guidelines.
3. Commenters should "man up" and defend what they write, and what they object to with logic (not dogma, real actual logical argument, not a new blathering assertion disconnected from the previous, or switch to discussion of a quote from another post, or a disconnected quote from Ayn Rand's hairdressers diary - get the hint?).
4. It is just whining, like I said, because if it isn't 1 and 3 or 1 and 2 (with the blank filled in), guess what? It is whining.

It was not a "whining post"; it responded to a misuse of the term "censorship" and was fully consistent with the other response to a question.

Guidelines against personal attacks on this forum have nothing to do with the political correctness of colleges. Gratuitously calling a straightforward post "whining" and smearing it by misrepresenting it as linked to "excluding colleges excluding speakers" is an example of an inappropriate snide personal attack.

That sounds good. So why are we talking about it here?

Oh, I know...because this statement leaving it up to the owners is completely different than the last whining post apparently by someone that can’t defend their statements with well-presented argument (well crusty dogma anyway):

You judge for yourself what to think about anything, but it's the prerogative of the owners of the forum to choose its own guidelines and their enforcement for the use of the forum.

It's summer so I don't have school :)

When you are writing grants you can only do so much and then you have to 'run around the block'.

I like reading the comments. Since I am a writer, I spend a lot of time at my computer and it clears my head to have what I consider some human contact! The column makes me laugh, like today, looking at the memes and I enjoy the interesting subjects that are posted.
