Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Have We Been Duped?

Here's a posting on a website designed to help neighbors interact with each other, and my reply. Apparently, one of my neighbors can't tell the difference between calling attention to a problem and trying to solve it. I like attacking problems honestly instead of engaging in perpetual mindless nonsense.

The book is back in print. That's good. I won't infringe on any copyrights. But more recently Henry Bauer (see https://www.amazon.com/Origin-Persist... makes a strong case that not only HIV doesn't cause AIDS, HIV might be an artifact of the interpretation of electron microscope images and might not exist. Bauer and Ellison both note that the behavior of AIDS does not match the ordinary spread of infections.

The unpublishing was by court order.
    Name: Regnery v. Ellison
    Docket# 95CIV.157
    Judge: Sprizzo
    Date of proceeding: 11/20-29/95
Type of proceeding: Trial 1085 pages $1/page

We had a huge "run for the cure" event here for many, many years. I always said, "If they have a 'run for the cause' I'll run it wearing only running shoes."

This is the rope-a-dope. This quest for a cure allows for lots of money to flow, virtue signaling, etc. How about if we figure out what's causing it and prevent it? Oh no!

Yes there are real problems that can be solved or at least alleviated. But all these marches and stuff, it is virtue signalling -
look at me, a fine caring person.

There are so many "awareness" events that the real problem became trivialized. At work, they organize Breast Cancer marches, HIV marches, all kinds of marches.

I was always wondering how the marching helps anybody? But I did not ask because that would not have been considered PC.

This is an ailment that seems to have really taken hold of the media. I never really understood the imbalance.

Frequently the good will and generosity of the American public has been used to line the pockets of the unscrupulous. Aids in Africa (HIV need not be a requirement) and Farm Aid (failed t help very many, if any, farmers satisfy their mortgages) to name a few.
I have no doubt there are building of lawyers and the associated staff sucking up the majority of the money given.
If you can't hand it directly to those in need...

    Yes, we have.
Cut, burn, and poison is the never ending therapy. Spend a fortune on doctors and hospitals and the highest probability result is to die in pain within a few years. Oncologists consider a year of life after treatment a success, but they don't publicize it.
Give all oncologists cancer treatment in med school.
