Coronavirus: Iran's deputy health minister tests positive as outbreak worsens

"Unlike in Italy, Iranian officials are refusing to impose quarantines in areas affected by the outbreak. They say quarantines are old-fashioned and that they do not believe in them. The Shia shrines in the cities of Qom and Mashhad are still open, despite Qom being a hotbed of the virus. There are grand ayatollahs in Qom who believe that its shrine, which attracts millions of pilgrims from around the world, and its important seminary, which hosts many foreign religious students, are the pride of the Shia world. Shutting them down would be a huge step for the clerics and not one that they would be likely take unless they come under international pressure. We can see the clear conflict between religious fundamentalism and science."
NK...who knows.
I don't know about NK, but they aren't self sufficient and all borders are porous. The point is that there could be a million infected in NK and would anyone know it? Would they stay in NK or would some of them be able to leave and carry the virus with them? Could NK use that as a weapon against SK and others?
According to health officials 70% of the world population will be infected.
The virus is not containable, a clear sign of it being a manufactured one.
San Francisco just declared an emergency. With her large Chinese population it was expected.
If this thing is really that bad, everyone should stay in their home country and "sext" with each other on their dumb phones...simple stupid?
If a communist government wanted to wipe out the generation slowing their economy, and to change the voting mix of their biggest competitor to be more likely to favor socialism, they would release a virus that mostly affects the elderly. It would also have the short term effect of crushing the competitor's economy while a conservative administration was blamed by the biased media. Trade negotiations would be positively affected by the communist government's control over pharmaceutical materials that are used to treat the virus.
Not even a peep from N Korea about the virus so far.
On the other hand this could be spread by one carrier with just the right conditions of humidity, personal hygiene, proximity or contact with many other people.
(I think it was Pres Truman who said after an economics briefing-
'send me a one-handed economist')
Travel is so much more widespread now compared to 50 years ago. Cheaper fares from cheap energy gives low wealth people air fares below the cost of steerage in ocean liners of a few generations ago. Look at the size and activity at airports.
Religious fanatics don't believe in modern medicine. Plenty of examples in the US, where bigoted parents refuse to seek medical help for their children, using their "faith" as a substitute, usually resulting in the children's death.
Muslims should stick to their "faith". Maybe they will die out in the end.
Iran?...their people have access to china? Chinese people go to iran?
Seems pretty far fetched.
Something doesn't smell right to me. Granted, the deep state wants everyone to die, they want everything to collapse and the whole thing reeks of being planned or on purpose...remember folks, most of our news on this subject comes from government agencies and the lamestream news.
Should have bought stock in the companies that make medical face masks...
