    I don't think that it would have to be contorted in any way. Helping others of your own free will is a good thing. The key there is doing it of your own free will. Even so, some people are more willing to do something to help out a child. A young child most often is in no way responsible for their financial situation in life.

    I see no conflict with Objectivism. If you want to help others then do so, and if you don't then don't. Value does not have to be cash. It can also be the "warm fuzzies" of making a difference to someone.

    I don't know if Objectivism can be contorted to account for this commercial, but the commercial is very human, very touching, and, imo, portrays aspects of humanity necessary for any society to endure.
