They are just like the so-called "scientists" who say that anthropogenic climate change is real. Somebody is holding something over their head. In their case it is the government that they work for - they're afraid to lose their jobs.

My favorite example of a "doctor" who is obviously in the same predicament is the Surgeon General of the United States. In March, he made a video in which he asserted that wearing a mask can be very dangerous. Trump should be consulting with this doc, not the self-serving Fauci, who says wear masks, without reading any research. I wonder what would the government do with those in the US populations that could have an averse reaction to the vaccines. I have my doubts about the rush to produce vaccines and their efficacy. Are these drug companies going to tell anyone if any of the test subjects end up hospitalized or die from the vaccine. Probably not.

Some docs could be less good than others of course, but the decision on which doc you use should be YOUR decision, not fauci's

That's what my doctor said as well. Get the politics out of it and let patients consult with their doctors on remedies. Just don't handcuff the doctors with scare tactics or bans on certain medications. The actual practicing doctors (in comparison to the theoreticians in disease control) certainly aren't trying to lose patients...

What I don't get are all these "doctors" and "scientists" who are dead-set against the use of HCQ yet can show zero of their own studies that it doesn't work or produces side-effects worse than other treatment regimens. Boggles my mind that they want people to die...

The key is early treatment regardless of the preferred protocol. As predicted Covid will become just another flu bug that is annoying.
