Escape From New York

It was 1982. Me dino was beginning my first of 21 years as a career corrections officer for the Alabama Department Of Corrections (who said don't let anyone call you a guard) when I watched the flick,
"Escape From New York" (love the sound track), on HBO that came with the cable TV at my apartment.
Back then it seemed inconceivable that New York City with a virtual Hudson River moat about the island of Manhattan could ever be converted into a gigantic prison. Now?
Hell's bells! Now there's plenty of criminals mixed in with an untold number of human derelicts there already! It's not just the paid Marxist rioters who are turning that city into a hell hole.
Anyone who can afford it--especially the rich who supports NYC by paying the highest taxes--are getting the hell out of Dodge in droves.
So what to do with the reprobate-crammed shell that remains? Hmm . . .
Poor people without criminal records who can't afford to move would first have to be evacuated.
Those not qualified to be get on the bus would be thrown under it.
Ha! Ha! Me dino made a funny!

Please do not use common sense when observing what the leftists propose. It is a way they get away with such bad behavior and I suspect why fools keep voting for the people who propose these idiotic solutions. “They don’t really mean defund the police” they just mean policing needs reforms.
“They don’t really mean get rid of oil and gas” they just mean to find alternatives to reduce the burning of fossil fuels.

Yes, its the lesser of two evils when it comes to elections. To be honest, I am not sure that I see any advantages that I get with any of the candidates, just fewer bad things with some of them

Taxing those who leave strikes me dino as unconstitutional.
But what does "unconstitutional" mean to Democratic lawmakers/ Nada!
That word comes up only when Trump does something. Like adding length to a certain wall.

A pack of Democratic lawmakers in California are proposing a wealth tax for the state's richest citizens, forcing them to pay more essentially just for owning a lot of stuff. They also, amazingly, want the tax to follow Californians who flee the state in response, attempting to make them continue paying taxes on wealth that's not even in the state.

California Lawmakers Want a Wealth Tax to Soak the Rich for Living There. Also, for Leaving. https://reason.com/2020/08/18/califor...

The proposed tax would apply to not just wealthy residents, but anyone who is wealthy who has lived in the state for the last 10 years.
Assemblymember Rob Bonta (D–Oakland) is blunt about his reasons for introducing the California Wealth Tax (A.B. 2088). Rich people have money. He wants more of it to pay for and expand state services. And that's it.

I too did a career of 27 years in the NY dept of Corrections. Look at the way I see things working out. When these jackasses do away with all the cops there won't be anyone left to protect them from us! Keep your powder dry.

Although Biden would be a lot worse than Trump by far, I have to say that Trump has increased my business taxes, charged me duties on chinese purchases, took away the domestic production tax break, and is spending money like its just printed (which it is...). Government is designed to benefit itself and its minions, no matter who gets elected.

I am selling all my stock (not that I have a lot) just before the election. If Trump wins, I buy it back. Otherwise, I am permanently OUT of the stock market. I am preparing to close my business if Biden wins, as its never going to go anywhere under his administration, and if it did, he would tax the hell out of me.

Not in the Jackass Party, you haven't. There's a handful I can name in the GOP I refuse to send donations to. Directly to Trump's reelection effort, yes. Through them to him, no,
As for really real value creators in New York, New York, it really does seem like a John Galt Punishment, don't it?
But too many of those never learn to stop voting for libtarded Schiffheads, though.
