A simple expansion of the MGTOW acronym can be enlightening: Men Going Their Own Way. In short, each Man takes up a torch of lighting the way in his own direction, defining his own goals and metrics for success. MGTOW is the application of understanding what a man has to lose by partaking in traditional relationships with women that can reside along the spectrum from friendship to marriage. The dangers are real, such as losing half, or more, of your possessions (both current and future earnings) as a result of a divorce, the majority of which are initiated by women. MGTOW is not a cult as there are no fixtures in MGTOW attributable to a cult. We are not a club – we are not a support group – no more than researchers of praxeology are a club or support group.

I am a recently retired software engineer, international mountain climber, ultra-runner (think 100+ milers), traveler, long-term-value-investor and philanthropist. I've never bit the lure of marriage or children; I am a man going his own way.
I have neither regrets nor see fit to apologize for my selfishness. One of the nice things about getting deep into my 50s and having diversified assets is that I've reached a state of contextual indifference -- there are so many things, about which, I could not give a damn -- and that includes the lures from women (think women with a raft of debilitations: divorce, children, debt, depravity, ignorance) and social groups in general.

I have also seen the pain that married men have endured for decades. This includes my father and close friends. It makes me share the message of Going Galt and adopting the attitude of indifference in matters of the absurd.

MGTOW is the individual application of a set of tenets resulting in a man’s self-ownership as expressed in his achievements. The fact that I exist is a testament to that assertion.

I agree... and wonder -- what would be the results of one of these high-ranking bureaucrats being found striped naked and hanging from a simple rope outside the building where they "serve the people?" We are clearly not at that point yet. I leave it as an exercise for an engineering mind. Molon Labe presents a few working snapshots of successful cases.

She asks why people aren't rising up. I'll answer. Because the American, family-man, middle-class males have been cucked. Neutered. There aren't enough real men left. Laws only are being applied to this class of citizen, too. Family courts have gutted them. Employers have leaned on them for everything. They've payed taxes with money that gets sent to corrupt, foreign governments for decades and now they're broke.

A few years ago I stumbled upon a movement called MGTOW while surfing youtube. I sat for a couple hours or more sipping my beer and hearing these guys talk from their campsites, next to their RVs and thought...I can't argue with that. I've watched dozens of men around me just flee all forms of responsibility - opting to smoke weed and play video games in their sweatpants. I'm not wired for that. But...I don't fault them anymore. I've been attacked, especially recently, for doing nothing wrong. Just for existing it seems, from people I once trusted. In looking back these people previously had men leave their lives - leaving them tumbling in the wake, confused and angry, when the men left. I'm easy to find if somebody want to grind on a man because everybody who knows me knows I'm with my wife and kids...making me an easy target - haha. Seeing a dedicated family man who doesn't apologize for his masculinity must really piss some people off. It has been one hell of an eye-opening ride. No...the men the lady in this video is asking to stand up have been lightening rods for a long, long time. Now that we need them...good luck with that...
