My favorite part of the article, someone interviewed said "he had a fascination with guns..."
seemed to me he just wanted to protect himself and his students

    it's funny. I actually walked further to elementary school. probably 1st latch kid in the 60s (my mom was a teacher in another town). I refused having a babysitter. so 3rd grade, key around my neck on a shoe string lol walked probably two miles to my elementary school. and I liked to walk in the alleys because it was easier to pretend stuff . I was my favorite heroine at the time. lol

    I used to as well. It wasn't close, either!

    I don't even know what shit stompers are. I walked to school and back too...not uphill, but in the snow. (Elementary school anyway.)

    not at all. are you doubting that the boys wore shit stompers to my school?
    I actually walked 1.5 miles each way. so the goal was to make sure to have a boyfriend with wheels in the winter. the rest of the time, I really didn't care

    in my school, all the guys walked around with mud on their shit stompers too. (well I think it was mud)
