I think the reporter should have said, "we journalists have a fascination over getting rid of guns and making those who have them look crazy. Note: I did not hear one peep on CNN yesterday about Doran's manifesto praising Wolf and Piers and Maddow and the View etc. not a peep. if he had been a member of the tea party-that would have been "fascinating"

She and I were pointing out that's what was said, because the reporter is trying to put EXACTLY that spin on it. Not that we agree with the sentiment. :-)

When you say "he had a fascination with guns" it paints the picture they are trying to portray. A crazy person. As they want all people to believe that only crazy people have guns. I would like to hear their definition of that phrase "a fascination with guns..." I'm willing to bet they'd say, "well....ya know...he LIKES them..." Telling his students that he had a gun was a moronic move, however.

I came away from that, thinking, huh? How does having a gun in the TRUNK of his car, and a small concealed carry size make him have some sort of questionable fascination with guns?

I would like to hear a follow up. Is the guy otherwise clean, or is there any history? If these scary items were locked in his car, how did they pose a threat to the students? If his car was unlocked and students knew about it...who knows? He should have kept it to himself, considering his political environment.
