Author cites Finland, Afghanistan as arguments that big states can't necessarily boss small states--and small states with similar world views can band together.
Sea trade that can't be halted by the globalist decision of one evil dictator (Canadian PM) is vital to survival of any country.
That is why Russia (the world's largest country in land area) cares about access to the Black Sea. It isn't closed in winter like all the rest of Russia's ports could be.
Switzerland is another case in point--showing that small nation-states can be hard nuts to crack even for the biggest military powers.
