Massive 5 acre fire has broken out a warehouse storing plastic plant pots in Kissimmee, Florida.

Hazmat teams are monitoring air quality due to the large amount of smoke coming from the burning plastics.

I think you have got it.

Balloons and train crashes are a diversion.
Certain conspiracy theory proponents, include me, say it is to hush up journalist Sy Hersh's article about (who how and when) blowing up the big natural gas pipeline.

Agreed. And I am certainly no Marxist. Yes, this site is open to all that are curious, and have inquiring minds.

"This is a site about Ayn Rand." True, but only partially true. This site was invented to promote and discuss the Atlas Shrugged movie trilogy, mainly, and Ayn Rand along with it. In the beginning (years ago) all that comprised the hottest topics and often still does, but the Gulch was never limited. The "Ask The Gulch" invitation spells it out thusly: "Got a question about Objectivism? Ayn Rand? Politics? Life? Dinner? Or... anything else for that matter. The Gulch wants to hear it."

That said, I understand your reference to the Superbowl as "bread and circuses" by the Roman poet Juvenal, but religion as an opiate is straight out of Marx. Edit add: Hard to believe, but this point may be an intersection where Rand and Marx actually agree on something.

This is a site about Ayn Rand. She did not believe in religion, and neither do I. You certainly have a right to believe in whatever you want.

In addition to religion, the Superbowl is the opiate of the people. Or you could compare to gladiatorial games, just before the fall of the Roman Empire.

Earthquakes and UFOs and vinyl chloride, oh my!
