Can anyone explain to me just why police dept’s need Military Vehicles? Why does a school district need a 18 ton armored Military Vehicle? Is this Obama’s civilian army? We mothball Navy ship’s why not Army vehicle’s?

Excellent points, scojohnson. So what you are saying is that we really don't want or need career politicians. lol

Of course, the Forestry Services, the Bureau of Land Management, but most importantly the Department of Education. We all can see why they need to carry. So what's the issue? lol

I am of the same mindset. Let's talk about all those pre-fab coffins being stored in Atlanta, and the alarming amount of hollow-points His High-ness has been accruing over the years.

Being the self-declared "expert" on Constitutional Law, Barrack Milhous Obama knows he has already commited several Crimes Against the State from which he will not escape, so really there is nowhere left for him to go but Out with a Bang.

    This is my opinion.

Why don't you? The national guard isn't supposed to be in Afghanistan, it's supposed to be in your county. You know, used to be called "State Militia"?
Just because they screwed up the militia system is no reason to militarize the police.

I've seen pictures of the giant areas in the Arizona desert where planes go to retire. And it isn't as if we don't have plenty of desert...

Problem with the National Guard is reaction time and use. In the case of a bomb threat, you don't have three days for your people to muster.

Maybe they issue them to schools annually for the "egg drop" science competition?

    No they don't.

If you need those kinds of weapons, you call the national guard. Police are law enforcement, not Wehrmacht.

It would be even easier to "mothball" army equipment. All equipment needs to be used to stay in working shape. The navy pays contractors to maintain the mothballed ships. The army could must park the equipment and then rotate the use of it for exercises, which would solve the need to pay for external maintainers.

There are instances where police forces do need those types of weaponry. The real issue is the plethora of alphabet soup gov't agencies that are being armed with such weaponry. These people do not take an oath to support/defend the Constitution of the US.

And why the hell would a school district need grenade launchers?

If they lose the Senate, it is virtually guaranteed that this will occur.

The only question is what will be the causus belli? I'm betting that this whole southern border issue is the foundation for the crisis. Will it be economic (too many illegals that are not being taken care of by the states) or will it be terroristic (many terror cells infiltrating).

The problem is, the military leadership has been culled of those who support freedom and liberty. Those left are collectivist leaning.

I'm with you on that one. All of these federal agencies with armed units are being staffed up for a reason.

It can be so only if there are enough of us to stop him.

That there will be enough of us is my worry.

Since shortly after his election in '08, I have had this thought that his administration would create a "crisis" which would require via Martial Law a complete shutdown of Constitutional law and the rights of the citizens. I still think this will happen, if and when it appears the progressives will lose the measure of control they have enjoyed thus far.

I stopped watching that show about Red Jacket Firearms when I noticed they seemed focused on providing paramilitary gear to law enforcement. Like an armored vehicle sporting a 50 caliber machine gun. Or a patrol boat with four grenade launchers... or a 50 cal mount for "civilian" class police helicopters.

what you don't know but I THINK is the case, 0 is sending all of these military vehicle all over the country so they are in place for HIM to use when he tries to as you correctly point out make a move to take over , etc. the reason he is not sending troop to the middle east is so they can be here to take orders from the commander in chief. I also suspect that the border business is tied in so he can have jihad types coming here as it appears is happening. the only thing that we can hope for is the joint chiefs just stop him. or that the members of the military NOT follow orders against their fellow countrymen. NealS I don't know how old you are but if less than 75 you will see what Tom B is saying is more than likely to happen
